ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲱⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϯⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ϧⲉⲛⲙⲉⲧⲥⲁⲓⲉ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲁϥϣⲱⲛⲓ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲓⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲡⲓⲥⲕⲟⲡⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϧⲓⲥⲓ ⲉⲙⲁϣⲱ . ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲙⲉⲡⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲁϥⲉⲣⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲁϥⲭⲁϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲗⲟϥ ⲁϥⲟⲗϥ ⲉⲣⲁⲕⲟϯ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲧⲟⲡⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲓϩⲁⲅⲓⲟⲥ ⲙⲁⲣⲕⲟⲥ . ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁϥϣⲱⲛⲓ ⲉϥϧⲟⲥⲓ ⲡⲉ .

And so he gave up his soul into the hands of God, the faithful and confessor archbishop, on the ninth day of Athor. And Abba John, Bishop of Terenuti, his spiritual brother, was worthy to place his hands on the eyes (of the saint), as Joseph had placed his hands on the eyes of his father Jacob.

It came to pass on Sunday that all the bishops and a multitude of people from Babylon Fortress, Alexandria, and all the lands met in the church of the holy Sergios, and behold, the Saint Isaac also entered it clothed in a humble habit.
