1. 16.19

   ⲁϥⲉⲙⲓ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ϫⲉⲛⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲉϣⲉⲛϥ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲕⲱϯ ⲛⲥⲁⲡⲁⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉⲣⲏⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲁⲓϫⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϫⲉⲕⲉⲕⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲕⲉⲕⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ .

   Therefore Jesus perceived that they wanted to ask him, and he said to them, 'Do you inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said, 'A little while, and you won't see me, and again a little while, and you will see me?'

2. 16.20

   ⲁⲙⲏⲛ ⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϫⲉⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲣⲓⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲉⲣϩⲏ ⲃⲓ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲑⲟϥ ϥⲛⲁⲣⲁϣⲓ ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲉⲣⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ϥⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲉⲩⲣⲁϣⲓ .

   Most certainly I tell you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.

3. 16.21

   ϯⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲁⲥϣⲁⲛⲛⲟⲩⲓ ⲉⲙⲓⲥⲓ ϣⲁⲥⲉⲣⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ϫⲉⲁⲥⲓ ⲛϫⲉⲧⲉⲥⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲥϣⲁⲛⲙⲓⲥⲓ ⲙⲡⲓϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲙⲡⲁⲥⲉⲣⲫⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⲙⲡⲓϩⲟϫϩⲉϫ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲡⲓⲣⲁϣⲓ ϫⲉⲁⲥⲙⲉⲥ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲉⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ .

   A woman, when she gives birth, has sorrow, because her time has come. But when she has delivered the child, she doesn't remember the anguish any more, for the joy that a human being is born into the world.

4. 16.22

   ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϩⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉϭ ⲓⲛⲟⲩⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲟⲛ ϯⲛⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲣⲁϣⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲣⲁϣⲓ ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ϩⲗⲓ ⲛⲁⲟⲗϥ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ .

   Therefore you now have sorrow, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

5. 16.23

   ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁϣⲉⲛⲧ ⲉϩⲗⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲙⲏⲛ ⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲉⲣⲉⲧⲓⲛ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲙⲫⲓⲱⲧ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲁⲣⲁⲛ ⲉϥⲉⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ .

   'In that day you will ask me no questions. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.

6. 16.24

   ϣⲁϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲁⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉⲣⲉⲧⲓⲛ ⲛϩⲗⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲁⲣⲁⲛ ⲁⲣⲓⲉⲧⲓⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁϭⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲣⲁϣⲓ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉϥϫⲏⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ .

   Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.

7. 16.25

   ⲛⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲓϫⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϧⲉⲛϩⲁⲛⲡⲁⲣⲟⲓⲙⲓⲁ ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϫⲉⲟⲩⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲉⲓⲛⲁⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉϧⲉⲛϩⲁⲛⲡⲁⲣⲟⲓⲙⲓⲁ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲣⲏⲥⲓⲁ ϯⲛⲁⲧⲁⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲫⲓⲱⲧ

   I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. But the time is coming when I will no more speak to you in figures of speech, but will tell you plainly about the Father.

8. 16.26

   ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉⲉⲣⲉⲧⲓⲛ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲁⲣⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁϫⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲑⲛⲁϯϩⲟ ⲉⲫⲓⲱⲧ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ .

   In that day you will ask in my name; and I don't say to you, that I will pray to the Father for you,

9. 16.27

   ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲅⲁⲣ ϩⲱϥ ⲫⲓⲱⲧ ϥⲙⲉⲓ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϫⲉⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲉⲛⲣⲓⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁϩϯ ϫⲉⲉⲧⲁⲓⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲫⲓⲱⲧ .

   for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from God.

10. 16.28

    ⲁⲓⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲫⲓⲱⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲓ ⲉⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲟⲛ ϯⲛⲁⲭⲱ ⲙⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁϣⲉ ⲛⲏⲓ ϩⲁⲫⲓⲱⲧ .

    I came out from the Father, and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.'

11. 16.29

    ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲕⲥⲁϫⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲣⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲕϫⲉ ϩⲗⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲡⲁⲣⲟⲓⲙⲓⲁ .

    His disciples said to him, 'Behold, now you speak plainly, and speak no figures of speech.

12. 16.30

    ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲧⲉⲛⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉⲕⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲕⲉⲣⲭⲣⲓⲁ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲧⲣⲉ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ϣⲉⲛⲕ ϧⲉⲛⲫⲁⲓ ⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁϩϯ ϫⲉⲁⲕⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ .

    Now we know that you know all things, and don't need for anyone to question you. By this we believe that you came forth from God.'

13. 16.31

    ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ϫⲉϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁϩϯ .

    Jesus answered them, 'Do you now believe?

14. 16.32

    ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲛϫⲉⲟⲩⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϫⲱⲣ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲫⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲫⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲙⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲭⲁⲧ ⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲭⲏ ⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉϥⲭⲏ ⲛⲉⲙⲏⲓ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ .

    Behold, the time is coming, yes, and has now come, that you will be scattered, everyone to his own place, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

15. 16.33

    ⲛⲁⲓ ⲁⲓϫⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲟⲩϩⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲛϧⲣⲏⲓ ⲛϧⲏⲧ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲟϫϩⲉϫ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϫⲉⲙⲛⲟⲙϯ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲁⲓϭⲣⲟ ⲉⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ .

    I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.'

16. 17.1

    ⲛⲁⲓ ⲁϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁϥϥⲁⲓ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲃⲁⲗ ⲉⲡϣⲱⲓ ⲉⲧⲫⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ⲙⲁⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲉⲕϣⲏⲣⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲉⲕϣⲏⲣⲓ ϯⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲕ .

    Jesus said these things, and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, 'Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may also glorify you;

17. 17.2

    ⲙⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁⲕϯ ⲉⲣϣⲓϣⲓ ⲛⲁϥ ⲉϫⲉⲛⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲫⲏ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛⲧⲉϥϯ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲛϧ ⲛⲉⲛⲉϩ .

    even as you gave him authority over all flesh, he will give eternal life to all whom you have given him.

18. 17.3

    ⲫⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲱⲛϧ ⲛⲉⲛⲉϩ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲟⲩⲥⲟⲩⲱⲛⲕ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧϥ ⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲛⲧⲁⲫⲙⲏ ⲓⲛⲉⲙ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲟⲩⲟⲣⲡϥ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲡⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ .

    This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

19. 17.4

    ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲁⲓϯⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲕ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲉⲧⲁⲓϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲓϩⲱⲃ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲛⲏⲓ ϫⲉⲛⲧⲁⲁⲓϥ .

    I glorified you on the earth. I have accomplished the work which you have given me to do.

20. 17.5

    ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲙⲁⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ϧⲁⲧⲟⲧⲕ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲛⲁϥⲛⲧⲏⲓ ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲙⲡⲁⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲁⲧⲟⲧⲕ .

    Now, Father, glorify me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world existed.

21. 17.6

    ⲁⲓⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲙⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲧⲏⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲟⲩⲕ ⲛⲉⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲕⲧⲏⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉⲕⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲁⲩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ .

    I revealed your name to the people whom you have given me out of the world. They were yours, and you have given them to me. They have kept your word.

22. 17.7

    ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲧⲏⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲏⲓ ϩⲁⲛⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲧⲕ ⲛⲉ

    Now they have known that all things whatever you have given me are from you,

23. 17.8

    ϫⲉⲛⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲧⲏⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲁⲓⲧⲏⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲩϭⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲉⲙⲓ ⲧⲁⲫⲙⲏⲓ ϫⲉⲉⲧⲁⲓⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲧⲕ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲛⲁϩϯ ϫⲉⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲡⲉⲧⲁⲕⲧⲁⲟⲩⲟⲓ .

    for the words which you have given me I have given to them, and they received them, and knew for sure that I came forth from you, and they have believed that you sent me.

24. 17.9

    ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯⲧⲱⲃϩ ⲉϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲓⲧⲱⲃϩ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲧⲏⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲏⲓ ϫⲉⲛⲟⲩⲕ ⲛⲉ

    I pray for them. I don't pray for the world, but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours.

25. 17.10

    ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲕ ⲛⲉⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓϭⲓⲱⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ

    All things that are mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them.

26. 17.11

    ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲭⲏ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲥⲉⲭⲏ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯⲛⲏⲟⲩ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲕ ⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ⲡⲓϩⲁⲅⲓⲟⲥ ⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲛⲏⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲟⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲣⲏϯ .

    I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them through your name which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are.

27. 17.12

    ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲓⲭⲏ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲓⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲧⲏ ⲓϥ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲁⲓⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲡⲉ ϩⲗⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲉⲃⲏⲗ ⲉⲡϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲧⲁⲕⲟ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉϯⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ .

    While I was with them in the world, I kept them in your name. Those whom you have given me I have kept. None of them is lost, except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

28. 17.13

    ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲓⲛⲏⲟⲩ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲓ ϯⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲁⲣⲁϣⲓ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉϥϫⲏⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϧⲣⲏⲓ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ .

    But now I come to you, and I say these things in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves.

29. 17.14

    ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲁⲓϯ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲉⲕⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲙⲉⲥⲧⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉϩⲁⲛⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲁⲣⲏϯ ϩⲱ ⲉⲧⲉⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲛ .

    I have given them your word. The world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

    ⲛⲁⲓϯϩⲟ ⲁⲛ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲕⲟⲗⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲕⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲡⲓⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ .

    I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one.

31. 17.16

    ϩⲁⲛⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲁⲣⲏϯ ϩⲱ ⲉⲧⲉⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲛ .

    They are not of the world even as I am not of the world.

    ⲙⲁⲧⲟⲩⲃⲱⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛϯⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲫⲱⲕ ⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲡⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ .

    Sanctify them in your truth. Your word is truth.

33. 17.18

    ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲟⲩⲟⲣⲡⲧ ⲉⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱ ⲁⲓⲟⲩⲟⲣⲡⲟⲩ ⲉⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ .

    As you sent me into the world, even so I have sent them into the world.

34. 17.19

    ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲟⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲧⲟⲩⲃⲏ ⲟⲩⲧ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ .

    For their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.

35. 17.20

    Not for these only do I pray, but for those also who believe in me through their word,

    that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me.

37. 17.22

    ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲓⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲁⲓⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲟⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ϩⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲣⲏϯ ϩⲱⲛ ⲉⲛϣⲟⲡ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲓ .

    The glory which you have given me, I have given to them; that they may be one, even as we are one;

38. 17.23

    ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲟⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲩϫⲏⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲡⲉⲧⲁⲕⲧⲁⲟⲩⲟⲓ .

    I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me, and loved them, even as you loved me.

    ⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲛⲏⲓ ϯⲟⲩⲱϣ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲫⲙⲁ ⲉϯϣⲟⲡ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲛⲧⲟⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲉⲙⲏⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲟⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡⲁⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲧⲏ ⲓϥ ⲛⲏⲓ ϫⲉⲁⲕⲙⲉⲛⲣⲓⲧ ϧⲁϫⲉⲛ ⲧⲕⲁⲧⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲙⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ .

    Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory, which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.

40. 17.25

    ⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ⲡⲓⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲥⲟⲩⲱⲛⲕ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲁⲓⲥⲟⲩⲱⲛⲕ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲓⲕⲉⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲁⲩⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲡⲉⲧⲁⲕⲧⲁⲟⲩⲟⲓ

    Righteous Father, the world hasn't known you, but I knew you; and these knew that you sent me.

41. 17.26

    ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲧⲁⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁⲧⲁⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ϯⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲙⲉⲛⲣⲓⲧ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱ ⲛϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱ ⲛϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ .

    I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.'

42. 18.1

    ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲁϥⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲉⲙⲏⲣ ⲙⲡⲓⲙⲟⲩⲛⲥⲱⲣⲉⲙ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲓϣⲉⲛⲥⲓϥⲓ ⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩϭⲱⲙ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲁϥϣⲉ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ .

    When Jesus had spoken these words, he went out with his disciples over the brook Kidron, where there was a garden, into which he and his disciples entered.

43. 18.2

    ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲥ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲛⲁϥⲛⲁⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲛⲁϥⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ϩⲱϥ ⲙⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲙⲁⲩ ϫⲉⲟⲩⲙⲏ ϣⲛⲥⲟⲡ ⲁϥⲑⲱⲟⲩϯ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ .

    Now Judas, who betrayed him, also knew the place, for Jesus often met there with his disciples.

44. 18.3

    ⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲥ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲁϥϭⲓ ⲙⲡⲓⲙⲏϣ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲛϩⲩⲡⲉⲣⲉⲧⲏⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲛⲓⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲛⲉⲛⲛⲓⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲉⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲛⲫⲁⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲛⲗⲁⲙⲡⲁⲥ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲛϩⲟⲡⲗⲟⲛ .

    Judas then, having taken a detachment of soldiers and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, came there with lanterns, torches, and weapons.

45. 18.4

    ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲑⲛⲏ ⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉϫⲱϥ ⲁϥⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲕⲱϯ ⲛⲥⲁⲛⲓⲙ .

    Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were happening to him, went forth, and said to them, 'Who are you looking for?'

46. 18.5

    They answered him, 'Jesus of Nazareth.' Jesus said to them, 'I am he.' Judas also, who betrayed him, was standing with them.

47. 18.6

    ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲫⲱⲧ ⲉⲫⲁϩⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩϩⲉⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ .

    When therefore he said to them, 'I am he,' they went backward, and fell to the ground.

48. 18.7

    ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲟⲛ ⲁϥϣⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲕⲱϯ ⲛⲥⲁⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲡⲓⲛⲁⲍⲱⲣⲉⲟⲥ .

    Again therefore he asked them, 'Who are you looking for?' They said, 'Jesus of Nazareth.'

49. 18.8

    ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ϫⲉⲁⲓϫⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϫⲉⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲕⲱϯ ⲛⲥⲱⲓ ⲭⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩϣⲉ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ

    Jesus answered, 'I told you that I am he. If therefore you seek me, let these go their way,'

    that the word might be fulfilled which he spoke, 'Of those whom you have given me, I have lost none.'

    ⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲥⲏϥⲓ ⲛⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲁϥⲑⲟⲕⲙⲉⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϩⲓⲟⲩⲓ ⲛⲥⲁⲫⲃⲱⲕ ⲙⲡⲓⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϫⲱϫⲓ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲙⲁϣϫ ⲛⲟⲩⲓⲛⲁⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲓⲃⲱⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲙⲁⲗⲭⲟⲥ .

    Simon Peter therefore, having a sword, drew it, and struck the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.

52. 18.11

    ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉϩⲓⲟⲩⲓ ⲛϯⲥⲏϥⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲥⲑⲏⲕⲏ ⲡⲓⲁⲫⲟⲧ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ⲁⲛ ϯⲛⲁⲥⲟϥ ⲁⲛ .

    Jesus therefore said to Peter, 'Put the sword into its sheath. The cup which the Father has given me, shall I not surely drink it?'

53. 18.12

    ⲡⲓⲙⲏϣ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲓⲭⲓⲗⲓⲁⲣⲭⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲓϩⲩⲡⲏⲣⲉⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲁⲩⲁⲙⲟⲛⲓ ⲛⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲁⲩⲥⲟⲛϩϥ

    So the detachment, the commanding officer, and the officers of the Jews, seized Jesus and bound him,

    ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲉⲛϥ ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ϩⲁⲁⲛⲛⲁ ⲛⲉⲡϣⲟⲙ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲕⲁⲓⲁⲫⲁ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲛⲁϥⲟⲓ ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲛⲧⲉϯⲣⲟⲙⲡⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲙⲁⲩ

    and led him to Annas first, for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was high priest that year.

55. 18.14

    ⲛⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲕⲁⲓⲁⲫⲁ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲥⲟϭ ⲛⲓ ⲛⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲥⲉⲣⲛⲟϥⲣⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲙⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉϫⲉⲛⲡⲓⲗⲁⲟⲥ .

    Now it was Caiaphas who advised the Jews that it was expedient that one man should perish for the people.

56. 18.15

    ⲛⲁϥⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲥⲁⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲛϫⲉⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲕⲉⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲡⲓⲙⲁⲑⲏ ⲧⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥⲟⲓ ⲛⲥⲟⲩⲓⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲓⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲓ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲉⲛⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲉϯⲁⲩⲗⲏ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲓⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ .

    Simon Peter followed Jesus, as did another disciple. Now that disciple was known to the high priest, and entered in with Jesus into the court of the high priest;

57. 18.16

    ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥⲟϩⲓ ⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲁⲧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲣⲟ ⲁϥⲓ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲓⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲛⲁϥⲟⲓ ⲛⲣⲉⲙⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲓⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲁϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙϯⲉⲙⲛⲟⲩⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲓⲛⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ .

    but Peter was standing at the door outside. So the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to her who kept the door, and brought in Peter.

58. 18.17

    ⲡⲉϫⲉ ϯⲁⲗⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲟⲩⲧ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲙⲏ ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲛⲉⲛⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϩⲱⲕ ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉⲙⲙⲟⲛ .

    Then the maid who kept the door said to Peter, 'Are you also one of this man's disciples?' He said, 'I am not.'

    ⲛⲁⲩⲟϩⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩⲡⲉ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲓⲉⲃⲓⲁⲓⲕ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲓϩⲩⲡⲏⲣⲉⲧⲏⲥ ⲉⲁⲩϭⲉⲣⲟ ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲁⲕϩⲓ ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲛⲉⲧⲫⲣⲱ ⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩⲧϧⲙⲟ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲁϥⲟϩⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϩⲱϥ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲉϥⲧϧⲙⲟ ⲙⲙⲟϥ .

    Now the servants and the officers were standing there, having made a fire of coals, for it was cold. They were warming themselves. Peter was with them, standing and warming himself.

    ⲡⲓⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲁϥϣⲉⲛ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲉⲑⲃⲉⲧⲉϥⲥⲃⲱ

    The high priest therefore asked Jesus about his disciples, and about his teaching.

    ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲁⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲣⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲓϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲡⲉ ϧⲉⲛⲛⲓⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲏ ⲛⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲙϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ ⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⲉϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲑⲱⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲡⲓϫⲉ ϩⲗⲓ ⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲉⲧϩⲏⲡ .

    Jesus answered him, 'I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues, and in the temple, where the Jews always meet. I said nothing in secret.

62. 18.21

    ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩ ⲕϣⲓⲛⲓ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ϣⲉⲛ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ϫⲉⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲁⲓϫⲟϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲥⲉⲉⲙⲓ ⲉⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲓϫⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ

    Why do you ask me? Ask those who have heard me what I said to them. Behold, these know the things which I said.'

63. 18.22

    ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲁⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲓϩⲩⲡⲏⲣⲉⲧⲏⲥ ⲉⲧⲟϩⲓ ⲉⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩⲁϥϯ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲟⲩⲣ ⲛⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲁⲛ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲣⲏϯ ⲛⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲓⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ .

    When he had said this, one of the officers standing by slapped Jesus with his hand, saying, 'Do you answer the high priest like that?'

64. 18.23

    ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲕⲁⲕⲱⲥ ⲁⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲁⲣⲓⲉⲣⲙⲉⲑⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲓⲕⲁⲕⲱⲥ ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲕⲁⲗⲱⲥ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩ ⲕϩⲓⲟⲩⲓ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ .

    Jesus answered him, 'If I have spoken evil, testify of the evil; but if well, why do you beat me?'

65. 18.24

    ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲟⲣⲡϥ ⲛϫⲉⲁⲛⲛⲁ ⲉϥⲥⲟⲛϩ ϩⲁⲕⲁⲓⲁⲫⲁ ⲡⲓⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ .

    Annas sent him bound to Caiaphas, the high priest.

66. 18.25

    ⲛⲁϥⲟϩⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲛϫⲉⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲉϥⲧϧⲙⲟ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲙⲏ ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϩⲱⲕ ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥϫⲱⲗ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉⲙⲙⲟⲛ .

    Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him, 'You aren't also one of his disciples, are you?' He denied it, and said, 'I am not.'

67. 18.26

    ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲛⲓⲉⲃⲓⲁⲓⲕ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲓⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲉⲟⲩⲥⲩⲅⲅⲉⲛⲏⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲁ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲱϫⲓ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲙⲁϣϫ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉⲙⲏ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓϭⲱⲙ .

    One of the servants of the high priest, being a relative of him whose ear Peter had cut off, said, 'Didn't I see you in the garden with him?'

68. 18.27

    ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲟⲛ ⲁϥϫⲱⲗ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲁⲟⲩⲁⲗⲉⲕⲧⲱⲣ ⲙⲟⲩϯ .

    Peter therefore denied it again, and immediately the rooster crowed.

69. 18.28

    ⲁⲩⲓⲛⲓ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲕⲁⲓⲁⲫⲁ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲓⲡⲣⲉⲧⲱⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲛⲉϣⲱⲣⲡ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲓ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲓⲡⲣⲉⲧⲱⲣⲓⲟⲛ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ϫⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩⲥⲱϥ ϣⲁⲧⲟⲩⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲙⲡⲓⲡⲁⲥⲭⲁ .

    They led Jesus therefore from Caiaphas into the Praetorium. It was early, and they themselves didn't enter into the Praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but might eat the Passover.

70. 18.29

    ⲁϥⲓ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲟⲩ ⲛⲕⲁⲧⲏ ⲅⲟⲣⲓⲁ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲓⲛⲓ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϧⲁⲡⲁⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ .

    Pilate therefore went out to them, and said, 'What accusation do you bring against this man?'

71. 18.30

    ⲁⲩⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲉⲛⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲥⲁⲙⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲁⲛⲛⲁⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ .

    They answered him, 'If this man weren't an evildoer, we wouldn't have delivered him up to you.'

72. 18.31

    ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉϭⲓⲧϥ ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲙⲁϩⲁⲡ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϫⲉⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲥϣⲉ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲉϧⲱⲧⲉⲃ ⲛϩⲗⲓ

    Pilate therefore said to them, 'Take him yourselves, and judge him according to your law.' Therefore the Jews said to him, 'It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death,'

73. 18.32

    ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲟϥ ⲉϥⲉⲣⲥⲏⲙⲉⲛⲓⲛ ϫⲉϧⲉⲛⲁϣ ⲙⲙⲟⲩ ϥⲛⲁⲙⲟⲩ .

    that the word of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spoke, signifying by what kind of death he should die.

74. 18.33

    ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲟⲛ ⲁϥⲓ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲓⲡⲣⲉⲧⲱⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ .

    Pilate therefore entered again into the Praetorium, called Jesus, and said to him, 'Are you the King of the Jews?'

75. 18.34

    ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲉⲧϫⲱ ⲙⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲧⲕ ϣⲁⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲕⲉⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲁⲩϫⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉⲑⲃⲏⲧ .

    Jesus answered him, 'Do you say this by yourself, or did others tell you about me?'

76. 18.35

    ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲙⲏ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϩⲱ ⲡⲉⲕⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲙⲙⲓⲛⲙⲙⲟⲕ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲓⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲁⲩⲧⲏ ⲓⲕ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲁⲕⲁⲓϥ .

    Pilate answered, 'I'm not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered you to me. What have you done?'

77. 18.36

    ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ϫⲉⲧⲁⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲛⲑⲁ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲛ ⲧⲉ ⲉⲛⲉ ⲧⲁⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲁⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲧⲉ ⲛⲁⲣⲉⲛⲁϩⲩⲡⲉⲣⲉⲧⲏ ⲥⲛⲁⲩⲛⲁϯ ⲉϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲓ ⲡⲉ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲟⲩϣⲧⲉⲙⲧⲏ ⲓⲧ ⲛⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲁⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲑⲁ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲛ ⲧⲉ .

    Jesus answered, 'My Kingdom is not of this world. If my Kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I wouldn't be delivered to the Jews. But now my Kingdom is not from here.'

78. 18.37

    ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉⲟⲩⲕⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ϫⲉⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲡⲉⲧϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲕⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲙⲁⲥⲧ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲡⲁⲓϩⲱⲃ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲫⲁⲓ ⲁⲓⲓ ⲉⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲡϫⲓⲛⲧⲁⲉⲣⲙⲉⲑⲣⲉ ⲛϯⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲉϩⲁⲛⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛϯⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲛⲉϣⲁⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲧⲁⲥⲙⲏ .

    Pilate therefore said to him, 'Are you a king then?' Jesus answered, 'You say that I am a king. For this reason I have been born, and for this reason I have come into the world, that I should testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.'

79. 18.38

    ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲟϥ ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲟⲛ ⲁϥⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲛϯϫⲉⲙ ϩⲗⲓ ⲛⲉⲧⲓⲁ ⲁⲛ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲁⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ .

    Pilate said to him, 'What is truth?' When he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, 'I find no basis for a charge against him.

80. 18.39

    ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲩⲛⲏⲑⲓⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲉ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲭⲁ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲡⲁⲥⲭⲁ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲧⲁⲭⲱ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ .

    But you have a custom, that I should release someone to you at the Passover. Therefore do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?'

81. 18.40

    ⲁⲩⲱϣ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲙⲡⲉⲣⲭⲁ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲭⲁ ⲃⲁⲣⲁⲃⲃⲁⲥ ⲡⲁⲓⲃⲁⲣⲁⲃⲃⲁⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲟⲩⲥⲟⲛⲓ ⲡⲉ .

    Then they all shouted again, saying, 'Not this man, but Barabbas!' Now Barabbas was a robber.

82. 19.1

    ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲁϥϭⲓ ⲛⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲁϥⲉⲣⲙⲁⲥⲧⲓⲅⲅⲟⲓⲛ ⲙⲙⲟϥ .

    So Pilate then took Jesus, and flogged him.

83. 19.2

    ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲓⲙⲁⲧⲟⲓ ⲁⲩϣⲱⲛⲧ ⲛⲟⲩⲭⲗⲟⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛϩⲁⲛⲥⲟⲩⲣⲓ ⲁⲩⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲉϫⲉⲛⲧⲉϥⲁⲫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩϫⲟⲗϩϥ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲃⲟⲥ ⲛϭⲏϫⲓ

    The soldiers twisted thorns into a crown, and put it on his head, and dressed him in a purple garment.

84. 19.3

    ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩⲛⲏⲟⲩ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲭⲉⲣⲉ ⲡⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩϯⲕⲟⲩⲣ ⲛⲁϥ ⲡⲉ .

    They kept saying, 'Hail, King of the Jews!' and they kept slapping him.

85. 19.4

    ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲟⲛ ⲁϥⲓ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ϯⲛⲁⲉⲛϥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉϯϫⲉⲙ ϩⲗⲓ ⲛⲉⲧⲓⲁ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲛ .

    Then Pilate went out again, and said to them, 'Behold, I bring him out to you, that you may know that I find no basis for a charge against him.'

86. 19.5

    ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲁϥⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲉϥⲉⲣⲫⲟⲣⲓⲛ ⲙⲡⲓⲭⲗⲟⲙ ⲛⲥⲟⲩⲣⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲓϩⲃⲟⲥ ⲛϭⲏϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ .

    Jesus therefore came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple garment. Pilate said to them, 'Behold, the man!'

    ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲓⲁⲣⲭ ⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲓϩⲩⲡⲏⲣⲉⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲁϣϥ ⲁϣϥ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲙⲱⲓⲛⲓ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲁϣϥ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛϯϫⲉⲙ ϩⲗⲓ ⲛⲉⲧⲓⲁ ϭⲓ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲛ .

    When therefore the chief priests and the officers saw him, they shouted, saying, 'Crucify! Crucify!' Pilate said to them, 'Take him yourselves, and crucify him, for I find no basis for a charge against him.'

88. 19.7

    ⲁⲩⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϫⲉⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲧⲁⲛ ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲡⲉⲛⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ϥⲉⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲙⲫⲙⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲁϥⲁⲓϥ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ .

    The Jews answered him, 'We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.'

89. 19.8

    ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲡⲁⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲉⲣϩⲟϯ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ .

    When therefore Pilate heard this saying, he was more afraid.

90. 19.9

    ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲓ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲓⲡⲣⲉⲧⲱⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ϫⲉⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲑⲱⲛ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛⲁϥ .

    He entered into the Praetorium again, and said to Jesus, 'Where are you from?' But Jesus gave him no answer.

91. 19.10

    ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩ ⲕⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲏⲓ ⲁⲛ ϣⲁⲛ ⲕⲉⲙⲓ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛϯ ⲉⲣϣⲓϣⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲁϣⲕ ⲟⲩⲟⲛϯ ⲉⲣϣⲓϣⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲭⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ .

    Pilate therefore said to him, 'Aren't you speaking to me? Don't you know that I have power to release you, and have power to crucify you?'

92. 19.11

    ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ϫⲉⲙⲙⲟⲛⲧⲉⲕ ϩⲗⲓ ⲛⲉⲣϣⲓϣⲓ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⲉⲛⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲧⲏⲓⲥ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡϣⲱⲓ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲫⲁⲓ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲏⲓⲧ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲉϥ ⲛⲓϣϯ ⲛⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ .

    Jesus answered, 'You would have no power at all against me, unless it were given to you from above. Therefore he who delivered me to you has greater sin.'

93. 19.12

    ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲫⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥⲕⲱϯ ⲛⲥⲁⲭⲁϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲁⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁⲕϣⲁⲛⲭⲁ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲡϣⲫⲏⲣ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲓⲣⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧϥ ⲉϥϯ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϩⲣⲉⲛⲡⲟⲩⲣⲟ .

    At this, Pilate was seeking to release him, but the Jews cried out, saying, 'If you release this man, you aren't Caesar's friend! Everyone who makes himself a king speaks against Caesar!'

94. 19.13

    ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲛⲁⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲁϥⲉⲛ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ ϩⲓⲡⲓⲃⲏ ⲙⲁ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉⲡⲓⲗⲓⲑⲟⲥⲧⲣⲱⲧⲟⲛ ⲙⲙⲉⲧϩⲉⲃⲣⲉⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ϫⲉⲅⲁⲃⲃⲁⲑⲁ .

    When Pilate therefore heard these words, he brought Jesus out, and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called 'The Pavement,' but in Hebrew, 'Gabbatha.'

95. 19.14

    ⲛⲉ ⲧⲡⲁⲣⲁⲥⲕⲉⲩⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲓⲡⲁⲥⲭ ⲁⲛⲉ ⲫⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϫⲡ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲛⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϫⲉϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲣⲟ .

    Now it was the Preparation Day of the Passover, at about the sixth hour. He said to the Jews, 'Behold, your King!'

96. 19.15

    ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉⲁⲗⲓⲧϥ ⲁⲗⲓⲧϥ ⲁϣϥ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲁⲉϣ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲁⲩⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲓⲁⲣⲭ ⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ϫⲉⲙⲙⲟⲛⲧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲏⲗ ⲉⲕⲉⲥⲁⲣ .

    They cried out, 'Away with him! Away with him! Crucify him!' Pilate said to them, 'Shall I crucify your King?' The chief priests answered, 'We have no king but Caesar!'

97. 19.16

    ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲁϥϯ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲟⲩⲁϣϥ ⲁⲩϭⲓ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲓⲏⲥ

    So then he delivered him to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus and led him away.

98. 19.17

    ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲉϥϥⲁⲓ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲥⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲓ ⲉⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉⲡⲓⲕⲣⲁⲛⲓⲟⲛ ⲙⲙⲉⲧϩⲉⲃⲣⲉⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ϫⲉⲅⲟⲗⲅⲟⲑⲁ

    He went out, bearing his cross, to the place called 'The Place of a Skull,' which is called in Hebrew, 'Golgotha,'

99. 19.18

    ⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲁϣϥ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲓϣⲓ ⲛⲕⲉⲥⲟⲛⲓ ⲃⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ ⲥⲁⲙⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲥⲁⲙⲛⲁⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲇⲉ ϧⲉⲛⲧⲙⲏϯ .

    where they crucified him, and with him two others, on either side one, and Jesus in the middle.

100. 19.19

     ⲁϥⲥϧⲉ ⲕⲉⲧⲓⲧⲗⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲭⲁϥ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛⲡⲓⲥⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥⲥϧⲏ ⲟⲩⲧ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲡⲓⲛⲁⲍⲱⲣⲉⲟⲥ ⲡⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ .

     Pilate wrote a title also, and put it on the cross. There was written, 'JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.'
