Translation

27 In the day when […] was created in heaven, it descended from heaven!

28 It devoured the vast forest, it devoured the reed-thicket, it choose the ox from the herd,

29 it removed the sheep from the animal stall, it removed the young man from his brothers (text: his arms), it removed the young woman

30 from his (text: her) breast(s). You paralyzed him. You have paralyzed him! You are seizing his arms! You devoured his flesh,

31 you gnawed on his bones. Why are you seizing his arms? Why did you devour his flesh?

32 Why did you gnaw on his bones? (So) go down in the reed-thickets! Eat lentils

33 and cumin! (So) go up in the mountains! Eat almonds^? and pistachios!

34 Eat a Euphrates poplar up to its branches! May the išātu-fever like water from the gutter not turn back!

35 May the išātu-fever like with the nest of šinūnūtu-bird not return to her nest!
