Commentary
1: samku "spitful(?) (CAD S 118) is attested only in NA and makes little sense here. We prefer not to translate this adj. (Cavigneaux/Al-Rawi 1994, 87: ia-ú sa-am "le mien est rouge").
3: Cavigneaux/Al-Rawi 1994, 87: "il est peut-être d'une statue", most likely having in mind a-la-am as phonetic writing of alam = ṣalmum, or amending the form to ṣa!-la-am. With caution, we suggest that a-<bu-ul>-la-am {BU-UL} is a muddled form of abullam.
9: If awātum denotes here "a spell" (as in YOS 11, 12c: 37), then this line could be the end of the incantation and the continuation on the reverse and the edges another text, probably in syllabic Sumerian (note: pa-e, ki-sikil).
