2         ú-ul-da-šu-ma!

3         a-sú-ru-um ge6-eš-pa!-ar

4         pu-ti-im qá-ar-ni

Translation

Obv.

1         He does not have a head,

2–3         The drain bore it.

3–4         The snare of the forehead -

4–5         he has horns,

5–6         He does not have a head.

6–7         A sneak-thief,

7–8         Who is able to reach walls.

Identification of the text as a scorpion incantation, and reading of the Obv. follows George NABU 2010/05.
