Commentary

General: Following Farber, YOS 11, p. 63, the Obv. and the Rev. are to be inverted.

5: With caution, IṢ NI AB x at the end of the line, is read as iṣ-ba!-at. If correct, this line furnishes a link to the "heart-plant" incantations for aching stomach.

6: Tentative restitution (based on VS 17, 34:7).

8: ta-ap-ta!-aṭ-ru-[ú?] (Text: ta-ap-PA-AT-ru-[ú?]. The syntax kīma...perfect (+subj.) indicates futurm exactum: "after you have...".

10: ša ìl-šu: cf. YOS 11, 12a: 6, 13 which read ša iš-šu...

11: lū paṭrāt: Stat. m. ending with -āt.

12: Restoration after CUSAS 32, 7m (// CUSAS 32, 8f): 39f.// 22'f.: šamû erṣetam irḫû būl ^dŠakkan ina ṣērim irtakbū “The sky inseminated the earth, the animals of Šakkan mounted one another”.
