Translation
1–2 Šamaš brought over the (magic) plant across the mountain —
3–4 It seized the heart of Šamaš who brought it across,
5 It seized the heart of Sîn in the sky,
6 It seized the heart of the ox in the stall,
7 It seized the heart of the sheep in the fold,
8 It seized the heart of the lad in the street,
9 It seized the heart of the maiden in the dance,
10–12 Whom should I send to the dweller of the great Apsû (saying):
13–14 “Šamaš brought over a plant across the mountain —
15 It seized the heart of Šamaš who brought it across,
16 It sei[zed] the heart of Sîn in the s[ky],
17 It [seized] the heart of the o[x…],"
