Commentary

General: For a similar (yet inverse) phraseology of an oath involving food and drink cf. the OAkk letter in Kienast/Volk 1995, 53-54 (Ad12).

8: CAD K 578,3a refers to this line as [mal-ti]-it-ti u ku-ru-um-ma-ti (SB inc.), but, with Farber (1981, 72 n. 3), we take this text as OB incantation.
