The cow is pregnant, the cow is giving birth,
–3 In the stall of Šamaš, the pen of Šakkan.
When Šamaš saw her he was crying,
–6 When the pure-of-rites saw her, his tears were flowing down (saying:)
–8 “Why does Šamaš cry? The tears of the pure-of-rites flowing down?
–10 Over my cow, not deflowered, my kid, never giving birth!”
Rev.
