3 i-na me-e a-a-ba ti-me-tim ra-a[p-ša-tim]
4 a-ša-ar ma-am-ma-an la <i>-du-[ú]
5 qé-re-eb-ša ṣe-eḫ-ru-um ku-u[s-sà-a]
6 i-da-šu ka-at-ma i-na-⌈a⌉-[šu]
7 mu-ṣa-a-am i-še20-⌈e⌉-[am]
8 i-mu-ur-šu-ú-ma dAsar-lú-[ḫi]
9 ip-te-šum ṭù-da-am pa-[d]a-n[a-am]
10 iš-ku-un-šu[m]
11 ša-ki-in-kum pa-da-nu-u[m]
12 pe-ti-ku-um ṭù-ú-d[u-um]

Translation
1 In the fluid of conception the [substance] was cr[eated].
2–3 In the water of the Apsû, so remote, in the water of the ocean, the seas, so wi[de],
4–5 (in) a place whose interior nobody knows,
5–7 the baby, his hands are bound, his eyes are covered. He is looking for the way out.
8 (There) Asarluḫi noticed him.
9–10 He opened for him the road, set for him the path, (saying:)
11–12 “The path is set for you! The road is open for you!
13–14 Bēlet-ilī is sitting for you, the creatrix of mankind:
15–16 wrestle with substance and tissue!
17–18 Pull out yourself like a good boy!”
19 Incantation (for) [a woman giving bir]th.
