ii 6–7 During the night: a kettle-drum for Bēl and a kettle-drum for Ea. The clothing with which Bēl was clad on the 7th of Tashrītu(?) will be put on Ištar of Babylon on the 3rd of Kislīmu.

ii 8–10 Month Kislīmu, 4th day, at dawn the gate in front of Bēl will be opened and, apart from water for the hands being proffered to Bēl, Nādin-mê-qātī and Mukīl-mê-balāṭi will come down from the cella and will be seated in their places at the gate of the cella. The arranging of the alû-drums repeat as for the 8th day of Tashrītu.

ii 11–15 The main meal of the morning will be served to Bēl. At the time that the meal is served to Bēl, a golden vat between the alû-drums will be filled with top-quality beer, four fermenting vats will be placed by the container to the left of the court. Two will be placed by Kamaḫ. Beer-mash will be put in them, it will be pounded, and water will be added. 

ii 15–30 While it is being sprinkled in front of Bēl, the singer <will chant> Enūma Eliš to Bēl. At (the recitation of the line,) "For Usmû, who carried your present to give the news," the mār-šalāli(?) priest will raise a palm frond and place it on a silver tablet opposite Bēl. Apart from "Asarre [. . .] . . . the brewers [will place] opposite each other six golden fermenting vats [. . .] they will depart from before Bēl. The singer for Bēltiya [. . . they will] depart(?). The scepter-bearer(?) will enter, [. . .] will be presented. Apart from the sprinkling in Bēl's presence [. . . will] come and behind the Kizalagga, opposite. [. . .] they will stand. He will transfer juniper essence(?) and flour from the bin of Bēl to the bin of Nabû-ša-ḫarê and he will go with Usmû to the Akītu house. The craftsman will put the palm leaflets on his head, will hold the bronze gong in his left hand, and will stand before the curtains in front of Bēl. The high priest will throw water from the bucket and sprinkler on the craftsman, the craftsman will sound the gong and will hold the gong in his left hand, and will chant the "hand-raising" prayer "Lord, wisest of the Igigi" to Bēl.

ii 31–36 The dressing and the presence of the slave and [bull at the lower] end of the ramp, repeat as for the 3rd day. Apart from chanting the "hand-raising" prayer to Bēl, the craftsman will go from between the alû-drums to the shrine of Bēltiya. He will enter and leave, (repeat) the rites, he will sound the gong and will the "hand-raising" prayer to Bēltiya: "Live, yes live!" After/Behind the alû-drums of slave and bull, he will enter and leave the courtyard of Bēl.

ii 36–41 The water rites and "hand-raising" prayer which is for Bēl and Bēltiya, repeat as on the third day. They (i.e. slave and bull?) will move <with> Usmû from the presence of Bēl and will stand on the path of the shrine. They will take the hand of Muštēšir and will stand with Usmû. The slave will come and go down among [those entitled to enter the temple with] Usmû. Muštēšir in the Gate of the Entrance of Mandānu [. . .] he will go among those entitled to enter the temple who are taking the hand of Usmû.

iii 6–12 One sailor of the vessel will knock them into the river and will let them drift along. Another sailor will come up opposite them and will bring them up onto dry land. Zāriqu, who, after the main (meal) of the morning, has been seated in a tent at the head of the bridge, afterwards (the second sailor) will take his hand and will hand him over to the palm frond. They (Zāriqu and palm frond?) will go up onto the boat, and the boat will dock at the Water Gate. The sailor of the vessel will take their hand and they will enter the Water Gate.

iii 13–16 A nadītu-priestess will perform exchange, her reins hitched up, the curtains drawn, and seated . . . she will put the alû-drum by the barley beer, she will write seven inscriptions, she will hold the inscriptions in her left hand and the alû-drum by(?) the barley beer in her right hand in front of the palm frond. To carry the palm frond in Ekarzaginna they will enter the chamber of Ea.

iii 17–23 The sailor will throw (the palm fronds) in front, and a priest qualified to enter the temple of Ea will take them up through the Udibabbar Gate to the courtyard of Bēl. Six he will throw in the gate of the cella of Bēl, six in the gate of the cella of Bēltiya. Two palm fronds [. . .] the priest qualified to enter the temple of Ea will take in and [throw] before Ea. A brick, a half-brick, and a . . . which  [. . .] . . . [. . .] the slave and the bull who [went] into the Akītu house will stay <with> Usmû and will sprinkle a libation.

iii 24-32 The singer will stay. The mār-šalāli(?) priest will chant a "hand-raising" prayer in [front(?) of Bēl] and Bēltiya. After the slave [has gone] from the Gate of the Chariot to [. . .] the whole college of priests [will . . .] Usmû behind the slave and the bull [. . .] in the gate of the chamber of Ea. The slave will descend from the bull, the [high] priest [. . .] in the chamber of Ea he will offer him a clean loin cloth. [. . .] he will go to the gate of the cella of Ea and will throw two palm branches to [the gate of the shrine of . . .] He will turn back and will chant a hand- raising prayer [to . . .] From the bolt of the Great Gate of the chamber of [. . .] he will go up to the snake-dragon of Kamaḫ on the right [. . .] . . . \
