1'–9' [. . .] the gods [. . .] . . . [. . .] Babylon, the bond of heaven, which is laid o[ut] to the four winds. He (Marduk) decided for them the punishment that in Babylon, the prai[seaworthy] city. He decreed for them the property of the Babylonians, young and o[ld . . .]. With their firm counsel, they established persecution for Kudur-naḫḫunte, king of Elam. Now, one who is pleasing to them [. . .] will exercise kingship in Babylon, the city of Karduniaš. In Babylon, the city of Marduk, king of the gods, they [will set up his t[hrone].
10'–16' Will livestock and preying wolf come to terms? Will a firm-rooted kunšillu-thorn and a soaring raven love (one another)? [. . .] Will a raven and a venomous snake come to terms? [. . .] Will a bone-gnawing dog come to terms with a mongoose? [. . .] Will a dragon come to terms with a blood-letting bandit?
