“Ye te, bhikkhave, bhikkhū anāpattiṁ āpattīti dīpenti te, bhikkhave, bhikkhū bahujanaahitāya paṭipannā bahujanaasukhāya, bahuno janassa anatthāya ahitāya dukkhāya devamanussānaṁ.
“Mendicants, those mendicants who explain non-offense as an offense are acting for the detriment and unhappiness of the people, against the people, for the harm, detriment, and suffering of gods and humans.

Bahuñca te, bhikkhave, bhikkhū apuññaṁ pasavanti, te cimaṁ saddhammaṁ antaradhāpentī”ti.
They brim with much wickedness and make the true teaching disappear.”
