  1. 50:1

    قٓۚ وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ ٱلۡمَجِيدِ

    Qaf waalqurani almajeedi

    Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an

  2. 50:2

    بَلۡ عَجِبُوٓاْ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرࣱ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَقَالَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا شَيۡءٌ عَجِيبٌ

    Bal AAajiboo an jaahum munthirun minhum faqala alkafiroona hatha shayon AAajeebun

    Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing

  3. 50:3

    أَءِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابࣰ اۖ ذَٰلِكَ رَجۡعُۢ بَعِيدࣱ‏

    Aitha mitna wakunna turaban thalika rajAAun baAAeedun

    When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return

  4. 50:4

    قَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا مَا تَنقُصُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ مِنۡهُمۡۖ وَعِندَنَا كِتَٰبٌ حَفِيظُۢ

    Qad AAalimna ma tanqusu alardu minhum waAAindana kitabun hafeethun

    We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book

  5. 50:5

    بَلۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِٱلۡحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ فِيٓ أَمۡرࣲ مَّرِيجٍ

    Bal kaththaboo bialhaqqi lamma jaahum fahum fee amrin mareejin

    Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case

  6. 50:6

    أَفَلَمۡ يَنظُرُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَوۡقَهُمۡ كَيۡفَ بَنَيۡنَٰهَا وَزَيَّنَّٰهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجࣲ‏

    Afalam yanthuroo ila alssamai fawqahum kayfa banaynaha wazayyannaha wama laha min furoojin

    Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein

  7. 50:7

    وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ مَدَدۡنَٰهَا وَأَلۡقَيۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ وَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجِۭ بَهِيجࣲ‏

    Waalarda madadnaha waalqayna feeha rawasiya waanbatna feeha min kulli zawjin baheejin

    And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon

  8. 50:8

    تَبۡصِرَةࣰ وَذِكۡرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبۡدࣲ مُّنِيبࣲ‏

    Tabsiratan wathikra likulli AAabdin muneebin

    A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave

  9. 50:9

    وَنَزَّلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءࣰ مُّبَٰرَكࣰ ا فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا بِهِۦ جَنَّٰتࣲ وَحَبَّ ٱلۡحَصِيدِ

    Wanazzalna mina alssamai maan mubarakan faanbatna bihi jannatin wahabba alhaseedi

    And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops

  10. 50:10

    وَٱلنَّخۡلَ بَاسِقَٰتࣲ لَّهَا طَلۡعࣱ نَّضِيدࣱ‏

    Waalnnakhla basiqatin laha talAAun nadeedun

    And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters

  11. 50:11

    رِّزۡقࣰ ا لِّلۡعِبَادِۖ وَأَحۡيَيۡنَا بِهِۦ بَلۡدَةࣰ مَّيۡتࣰ اۚ كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡخُرُوجُ

    Rizqan lilAAibadi waahyayna bihi baldatan maytan kathalika alkhurooju

    Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead

  12. 50:12

    كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحࣲ وَأَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ

    Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohin waashabu alrrassi wathamoodu

    The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud

  13. 50:13

    وَعَادࣱ وَفِرۡعَوۡنُ وَإِخۡوَٰنُ لُوطࣲ‏

    WaAAadun wafirAAawnu waikhwanu lootin

    And (the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot

  14. 50:14

    وَأَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأَيۡكَةِ وَقَوۡمُ تُبَّعࣲۚ كُلࣱّ كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ

    Waashabu alaykati waqawmu tubbaAAin kullun kaththaba alrrusula fahaqqa waAAeedi

    And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect

  15. 50:15

    أَفَعَيِينَا بِٱلۡخَلۡقِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ فِي لَبۡسࣲ مِّنۡ خَلۡقࣲ جَدِيدࣲ‏

    AfaAAayeena bialkhalqi alawwali bal hum fee labsin min khalqin jadeedin

    Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation

  16. 50:16

    وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ وَنَعۡلَمُ مَا تُوَسۡوِسُ بِهِۦ نَفۡسُهُۥۖ وَنَحۡنُ أَقۡرَبُ إِلَيۡهِ مِنۡ حَبۡلِ ٱلۡوَرِيدِ

    Walaqad khalaqna alinsana wanaAAlamu ma tuwaswisu bihi nafsuhu wanahnu aqrabu ilayhi min habli alwareedi

    We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein

  17. 50:17

    إِذۡ يَتَلَقَّى ٱلۡمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ ٱلۡيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ قَعِيدࣱ‏

    Ith yatalaqqa almutalaqqiyani AAani alyameeni waAAani alshshimali qaAAeedun

    When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left

  18. 50:18

    مَّا يَلۡفِظُ مِن قَوۡلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيۡهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدࣱ‏

    Ma yalfithu min qawlin illa ladayhi raqeebun AAateedun

    He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready

  19. 50:19

    وَجَآءَتۡ سَكۡرَةُ ٱلۡمَوۡتِ بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنۡهُ تَحِيدُ

    Wajaat sakratu almawti bialhaqqi thalika ma kunta minhu taheedu

    And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun

  20. 50:20

    وَنُفِخَ فِي ٱلصُّورِۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡوَعِيدِ

    Wanufikha fee alssoori thalika yawmu alwaAAeedi

    And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day

  21. 50:21

    وَجَآءَتۡ كُلُّ نَفۡسࣲ مَّعَهَا سَآئِقࣱ وَشَهِيدࣱ‏

    Wajaat kullu nafsin maAAaha saiqun washaheedun

    And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness

  22. 50:22

    لَّقَدۡ كُنتَ فِي غَفۡلَةࣲ مِّنۡ هَٰذَا فَكَشَفۡنَا عَنكَ غِطَآءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ حَدِيدࣱ‏

    Laqad kunta fee ghaflatin min hatha fakashafna AAanka ghitaaka fabasaruka alyawma hadeedun

    (And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day

  23. 50:23

    وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ هَٰذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيدٌ

    Waqala qareenuhu hatha ma ladayya AAateedun

    And (unto the evil-doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony)

  24. 50:24

    أَلۡقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدࣲ‏

    Alqiya fee jahannama kulla kaffarin AAaneedin

    (And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate

  25. 50:25

    مَّنَّاعࣲ لِّلۡخَيۡرِ مُعۡتَدࣲ مُّرِيبٍ

    MannaAAin lilkhayri muAAtadin mureebin

    Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter

  26. 50:26

    ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَأَلۡقِيَاهُ فِي ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلشَّدِيدِ

    Allathee jaAAala maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara faalqiyahu fee alAAathabi alshshadeedi

    Who setteth up another god along with Allah. Do ye twain hurl him to the dreadful doom

  27. 50:27

    ۞قَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ رَبَّنَا مَآ أَطۡغَيۡتُهُۥ وَلَٰكِن كَانَ فِي ضَلَٰلِۭ بَعِيدࣲ‏

    Qala qareenuhu rabbana ma atghaytuhu walakin kana fee dalalin baAAeedin

    His comrade saith: Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he was (himself) far gone in error

  28. 50:28

    قَالَ لَا تَخۡتَصِمُواْ لَدَيَّ وَقَدۡ قَدَّمۡتُ إِلَيۡكُم بِٱلۡوَعِيدِ

    Qala la takhtasimoo ladayya waqad qaddamtu ilaykum bialwaAAeedi

    He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning

  29. 50:29

    مَا يُبَدَّلُ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ لَدَيَّ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِظَلَّٰمࣲ لِّلۡعَبِيدِ

    Ma yubaddalu alqawlu ladayya wama ana bithallamin lilAAabeedi

    The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves

  30. 50:30

    يَوۡمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ ٱمۡتَلَأۡتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلۡ مِن مَّزِيدࣲ‏

    Yawma naqoolu lijahannama hali imtalati wataqoolu hal min mazeedin

    On the day when We say unto hell: Art thou filled? and it saith: Can there be more to come

  31. 50:31

    وَأُزۡلِفَتِ ٱلۡجَنَّةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ غَيۡرَ بَعِيدٍ

    Waozlifati aljannatu lilmuttaqeena ghayra baAAeedin

    And the Garden is brought nigh for those who kept from evil, no longer distant

  32. 50:32

    هَٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظࣲ‏

    Hatha ma tooAAadoona likulli awwabin hafeethin

    (And it is said): This is that which ye were promised. (It is) for every penitent and heedful one

  33. 50:33

    مَّنۡ خَشِيَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنَ بِٱلۡغَيۡبِ وَجَآءَ بِقَلۡبࣲ مُّنِيبٍ

    Man khashiya alrrahmana bialghaybi wajaa biqalbin muneebin

    Who feareth the Beneficent in secret and cometh with a contrite heart

  34. 50:34

    ٱدۡخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمࣲۖ ذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡخُلُودِ

    Odkhulooha bisalamin thalika yawmu alkhuloodi

    Enter it in peace. This is the day of immortality

  35. 50:35

    لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيۡنَا مَزِيدࣱ‏

    Lahum ma yashaoona feeha waladayna mazeedun

    There they have all that they desire, and there is more with Us

  36. 50:36

    وَكَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا قَبۡلَهُم مِّن قَرۡنٍ هُمۡ أَشَدُّ مِنۡهُم بَطۡشࣰ ا فَنَقَّبُواْ فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ هَلۡ مِن مَّحِيصٍ

    Wakam ahlakna qablahum min qarnin hum ashaddu minhum batshan fanaqqaboo fee albiladi hal min maheesin

    And how many a generation We destroyed before them, who were mightier than these in prowess so that they overran the lands! Had they any place of refuge (when the judgment came)

  37. 50:37

    إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكۡرَىٰ لِمَن كَانَ لَهُۥ قَلۡبٌ أَوۡ أَلۡقَى ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدࣱ‏

    Inna fee thalika lathikra liman kana lahu qalbun aw alqa alssamAAa wahuwa shaheedun

    Lo! therein verily is a reminder for him who hath a heart, or giveth ear with full intelligence

  38. 50:38

    وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامࣲ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبࣲ‏

    Walaqad khalaqna alssamawati waalarda wama baynahuma fee sittati ayyamin wama massana min lughoobin

    And verily We created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in six Days, and naught of weariness touched Us

  39. 50:39

    فَٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ قَبۡلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمۡسِ وَقَبۡلَ ٱلۡغُرُوبِ

    Faisbir AAala ma yaqooloona wasabbih bihamdi rabbika qabla tulooAAi alshshamsi waqabla alghuroobi

    Therefor (O Muhammad) bear with what they say, and hymn the praise of thy Lord before the rising and before the setting of the sun

  40. 50:40

    وَمِنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ فَسَبِّحۡهُ وَأَدۡبَٰرَ ٱلسُّجُودِ

    Wamina allayli fasabbihhu waadbara alssujoodi

    And in the night-time hymn His praise, and after the (prescribed) prostrations

  41. 50:41

    وَٱسۡتَمِعۡ يَوۡمَ يُنَادِ ٱلۡمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانࣲ قَرِيبࣲ‏

    WaistamiAA yawma yunadi almunadi min makanin qareebin

    And listen on the day when the crier crieth from a near place

  42. 50:42

    يَوۡمَ يَسۡمَعُونَ ٱلصَّيۡحَةَ بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡخُرُوجِ

    Yawma yasmaAAoona alssayhata bialhaqqi thalika yawmu alkhurooji

    The day when they will hear the (Awful) Cry in truth. That is the day of coming forth (from the graves)

  43. 50:43

    إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نُحۡيِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيۡنَا ٱلۡمَصِيرُ

    Inna nahnu nuhyee wanumeetu wailayna almaseeru

    Lo! We it is Who quicken and give death, and unto Us is the journeying

  44. 50:44

    يَوۡمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ عَنۡهُمۡ سِرَاعࣰ اۚ ذَٰلِكَ حَشۡرٌ عَلَيۡنَا يَسِيرࣱ‏

    Yawma tashaqqaqu alardu AAanhum siraAAan thalika hashrun AAalayna yaseerun

    On the day when the earth splitteth asunder from them, hastening forth (they come). That is a gathering easy for Us (to make)

  45. 50:45

    نَّحۡنُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيۡهِم بِجَبَّارࣲۖ فَذَكِّرۡ بِٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ

    Nahnu aAAlamu bima yaqooloona wama anta AAalayhim bijabbarin fathakkir bialqurani man yakhafu waAAeedi

    We are Best Aware of what they say, and thou (O Muhammad) art in no wise a compeller over them. But warn by the Qur'an him who feareth My threat
