ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱ ϩⲓⲧⲁⲧⲣⲁⲡⲉⲍⲁ ϧⲉⲛⲧⲁⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛϩⲁⲛⲑⲣⲟⲛⲟⲥ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉϯ ϩⲁⲡ ⲉϯⲓⲃ ⲙⲫⲩⲗⲏ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲓⲥⲗ .
that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom. You will sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.'

The Lord said, 'Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have you, that he might sift you as wheat,

ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲓⲧⲱⲃϩ ⲉϫⲱⲕ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉϥϣⲧⲉⲙⲙⲟⲩⲛⲕ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲉⲕⲛⲁϩϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ϩⲱⲕ ⲕⲟⲧⲕ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲙⲁⲧⲁϫⲣⲉ ⲛⲉⲕⲥⲛⲏ ⲟⲩ .
but I prayed for you, that your faith wouldn't fail. You, when once you have turned again, establish your brothers.'
22.33
ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲡϭⲟⲓⲥ ϯⲥⲉⲃⲧⲱⲧ ⲉϣⲉ ⲉⲡϣⲧⲉⲕⲟ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲕ ⲛⲉⲙⲫⲙⲟⲩ .
He said to him, 'Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death!'

ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲉ ϫⲉⲛⲛⲉ ⲟⲩⲁⲗⲉⲕⲧⲱⲣ ⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲙⲫⲟⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲧⲉⲕϫⲟⲗⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲅ ⲛⲥⲟⲡ ⲉⲑⲣⲉⲕⲉⲙⲓ .
He said, 'I tell you, Peter, the rooster will by no means crow today until you deny that you know me three times.'

He said to them, 'When I sent you out without purse, and wallet, and shoes, did you lack anything?' They said, 'Nothing.'

ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲧⲁϥ ⲛⲟⲩⲁⲥⲟⲩⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲟⲗⲥ ⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲏⲣⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲛⲧⲁϥ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥϯ ⲡⲉϥϩⲃⲟⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥϣⲉⲡ ⲟⲩⲥⲏϥⲓ .
Then he said to them, 'But now, whoever has a purse, let him take it, and likewise a wallet. Whoever has none, let him sell his cloak, and buy a sword.
22.37
ϯϫⲱ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϫⲉⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲥϧⲏⲟⲩⲧ ϩⲱϯ ⲛⲧⲉϥϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϧⲣⲏⲓ ⲛϧⲏⲧ ϫⲉⲁⲩⲟⲡϥ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲓⲁⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲕⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉⲧⲥϧⲏⲟⲩⲧ ⲉⲑⲃⲏⲧⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲉϥϫⲱⲕ .
For I tell you that this which is written must still be fulfilled in me: 'He was counted with the lawless.' For that which concerns me has an end.'
22.38
ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲡϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲓⲥ ⲥⲏϥⲓ ⲥⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲙⲁ ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲥⲉⲣⲱϣⲓ .
They said, 'Lord, behold, here are two swords.' He said to them, 'That is enough.'
22.39
ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁϥϣⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⲕⲁⲧⲁϯⲕⲁϩⲥ ⲉⲡⲓⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲓϫⲱⲓⲧ ⲁⲩⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲓⲕⲉⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ .
He came out, and went, as his custom was, to the Mount of Olives. His disciples also followed him.

ⲉⲧⲁϥⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲧⲱⲃϩ ϫⲉⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲓ ⲉⲡⲓⲣⲁⲥⲙⲟⲥ .
When he was at the place, he said to them, 'Pray that you don't enter into temptation.'

He was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and he knelt down and prayed,

ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲭⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲙⲁⲣⲉ ⲡⲓⲁⲫⲟⲧ ⲥⲓⲛⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲓ ⲡⲗⲏⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲉϩⲛⲏⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲫⲱⲕ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥϣⲱⲡⲓ .
saying, 'Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.'
22.43
ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛϫⲉⲟⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲧⲫⲉ ⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϯϫⲟⲙ ⲛⲁϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉϥϭⲓϣϣⲱⲟⲩ ⲉϥⲉⲣⲡⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭ ⲉⲥⲑⲉ ϧⲉⲛⲛⲉϥⲕⲉⲗⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲣⲉⲛⲉϥϥⲱϯ ⲙⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲙⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲉϥϣⲟⲩⲟ ⲉϫⲉⲛⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ
An angel from heaven appeared to him, strengthening him.
22.44
ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲃϩ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϥϥⲱϯ ⲁϥⲉⲣ ⲙⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲙⲡϣⲟⲩⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲉϥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ
Being in agony he prayed more earnestly. His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down on the ground.

ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲱⲛϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛϯⲡⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭⲏ ⲁϥⲓ ϩⲁⲛⲓⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲁϥϫⲉⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲛⲕⲟⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲛϩⲏⲧ .
When he rose up from his prayer, he came to the disciples, and found them sleeping because of grief,

ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲕⲟⲧ ⲧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲁⲣⲓⲡⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭⲉⲥⲑⲉ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲧⲉⲙⲓ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲓⲣⲁⲥⲙⲟⲥ .
and said to them, 'Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.'
22.47
ⲉⲧⲓ ⲉϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⲛⲉⲙⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲥ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲓⲃ ⲛⲁϥⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲁϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϧⲱⲛⲧ ⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲁϥϯⲫⲓ ⲉⲣⲱϥ .
While he was still speaking, behold, a multitude, and he who was called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He came near to Jesus to kiss him.

ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲥ ⲁⲕⲛⲁϯ ⲙⲡϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲙⲫⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲫⲓ .
But Jesus said to him, 'Judas, do you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?'
22.49
ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲕⲱϯ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲡϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲛϩⲓⲟⲩⲓ ⲛⲧⲥⲏϥⲓ .
When those who were around him saw what was about to happen, they said to him, 'Lord, shall we strike with the sword?'

ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲁϥϩⲓⲟⲩⲓ ⲛⲥⲁⲫⲃⲱⲕ ⲙⲡⲓⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲉⲗ ⲡⲉϥⲙⲁϣϫ ⲛⲟⲩⲓⲛⲁⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ .
A certain one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
22.51
ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉⲕⲏⲛ ϣⲁⲙⲛⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁϥϭⲟϩ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲙⲁϣϫ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲗϭⲟϥ .
But Jesus answered, 'Let me at least do this'--and he touched his ear, and healed him.

ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲓ ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲛⲓⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲓⲥⲁⲧⲏⲅⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲓⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲓⲡⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲉⲧⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲁⲟⲩⲥⲟⲛⲓ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲛϣⲃⲟϯ .
Jesus said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and elders, who had come against him, 'Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs?
22.53
ⲉⲓⲭⲏ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲙⲙⲏ ⲓⲛⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲟⲩⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϫⲓϫ ⲉϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲓ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲑⲁⲓ ⲧⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲉⲣϣⲓϣⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲭⲁⲕⲓ .
When I was with you in the temple daily, you didn't stretch out your hands against me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.'
22.54
ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲁⲙⲟⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲉⲛϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩϭⲓⲧϥ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲏⲓ ⲙⲡⲓⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲛⲥⲱϥ ϩⲓⲫⲟⲩⲉⲓ .
They seized him, and led him away, and brought him into the high priest's house. But Peter followed from a distance.

ⲉⲧⲁⲩϭⲉⲣⲉ ⲟⲩⲭⲣⲱⲙ ⲇⲉ ϧⲉⲛⲧⲙⲏϯ ⲛϯⲁⲩⲗⲏ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁⲩϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ ⲛⲁⲣⲉⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ϩⲱϥ ϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲧⲟⲩϩⲙⲏϯ .
When they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard, and had sat down together, Peter sat among them.

ⲉⲧⲁⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛϫⲉⲟⲩⲁⲗⲟⲩ ⲙⲃⲱⲕⲓ ⲉϥϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ ϧⲁⲧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲟⲩⲱⲓⲛⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁⲥⲥⲟⲙⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲥ ϫⲉⲛⲁⲣⲉⲫⲁⲓ ϩⲱϥ ⲭⲏ ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ .
A certain servant girl saw him as he sat in the light, and looking intently at him, said, 'This man also was with him.'
22.57
ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥϫⲱⲗ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉϯⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲛ ϯⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ .
He denied Jesus, saying, 'Woman, I don't know him.'

ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲉⲛⲉⲛⲥⲁⲕⲉⲕⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛϫⲉⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϩⲱⲕ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉⲫⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ .
After a little while someone else saw him, and said, 'You also are one of them!' But Peter answered, 'Man, I am not!'

ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁ ⲫⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲁⲣⲉⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲧⲁϫⲣⲟ ⲛⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲡⲉ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲛⲁⲣⲉⲫⲁⲓ ϩⲱϥ ⲭⲏ ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ ⲕⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲟⲩⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲉⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ .
After about one hour passed, another confidently affirmed, saying, 'Truly this man also was with him, for he is a Galilean!'
22.60
ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲫⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϯⲉⲙⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲡⲉⲧⲉⲕϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲉⲧⲓ ⲉϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲁⲟⲩⲁⲗⲉⲕⲧⲱⲣ ⲙⲟⲩϯ .
But Peter said, 'Man, I don't know what you are talking about!' Immediately, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.

ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲫⲟⲛϩϥ ⲛϫⲉⲡϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲁϥⲥⲟⲙⲥ ⲉⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲉⲣⲫⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⲙⲡⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲙⲡϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲙⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲙⲡⲁⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲁⲗⲉⲕⲧⲱⲣ ⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲙⲫⲟⲟⲩ ⲭⲛⲁϫⲟⲗⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲅ ⲛⲥⲟⲡ .
The Lord turned, and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the Lord's word, how he said to him, 'Before the rooster crows you will deny me three times.'

ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁϥⲣⲓⲙⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲛϣⲁϣⲓ .
He went out, and wept bitterly.

The men who held Jesus mocked him and beat him.

They all said, 'Are you then the Son of God?' He said to them, 'You say it, because I am.'
22.71
ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲉⲛⲉⲣⲭⲣⲓⲁ ϫⲉⲛⲟⲩⲙⲉⲑⲣⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲛⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲣⲱϥ .
They said, 'Why do we need any more witness? For we ourselves have heard from his own mouth!'

The whole company of them rose up and brought him before Pilate.

They began to accuse him, saying, 'We found this man perverting the nation, forbidding paying taxes to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, a king.'
23.3
ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥϣⲉⲛϥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲡⲉⲧϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ .
Pilate asked him, 'Are you the King of the Jews?' He answered him, 'So you say.'

ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲛⲓⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲓⲙⲏϣ ϫⲉⲛϯϫⲉⲙ ϩⲗⲓ ⲛⲉⲧⲓⲁ ⲁⲛ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲁⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ .
Pilate said to the chief priests and the multitudes, 'I find no basis for a charge against this man.'
23.5
ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲉⲙϫⲟⲙ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉϥϣⲑⲟⲣⲧⲉⲣ ⲙⲡⲓⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲉϥϯⲥⲃⲱ ϧⲉⲛϯⲓⲟⲩⲇⲉⲁ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ ⲉⲁϥⲉⲣϩⲏⲧⲥ ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ϯⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲉⲁ ϣⲁⲡⲁⲓⲙⲁ .
But they insisted, saying, 'He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee even to this place.'
23.6
ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲛⲁϥϣⲓⲛⲓ ϫⲉⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲉⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲁⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ .
But when Pilate heard Galilee mentioned, he asked if the man was a Galilean.
23.7
ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲉⲣϣⲓϣⲓ ⲛⲏⲣⲱⲇⲏⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲟⲣⲡϥ ϩⲁⲏⲣⲱⲇⲏⲥ ⲉϥⲭⲏ ϩⲱϥ ϧⲉⲛⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲁⲗⲏⲙ ϧⲉⲛⲛⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲙⲁⲩ .
When he found out that he was in Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem during those days.

Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad, for he had wanted to see him for a long time, because he had heard many things about him. He hoped to see some miracle done by him.
23.9
ⲛⲁϥϣⲓⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϧⲉⲛϩⲁⲛⲙⲏϣ ⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛϩⲗⲓ .
He questioned him with many words, but he gave no answers.
23.10
ⲛⲁⲩⲟϩⲓ ⲉⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩⲛϫⲉⲛⲓⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲓⲥⲁϧ ⲉⲩⲉⲣⲕⲁⲧⲏⲅⲟⲣⲓⲛ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲙⲁϣⲱ .
The chief priests and the scribes stood, vehemently accusing him.
23.11
ⲉⲧⲁϥϣⲟϣϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛϫⲉⲏⲣⲱⲇⲏⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲧⲟⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲥⲱⲃⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁϥϫⲟⲗϩϥ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲉⲃⲥⲱ ⲉⲥⲫⲉⲣⲓⲱⲟⲩ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲟⲣⲡϥ ⲉⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ .
Herod with his soldiers humiliated him and mocked him. Dressing him in luxurious clothing, they sent him back to Pilate.
23.12
ⲁⲩⲉⲣϣⲫⲏⲣ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲛⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲟⲩ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲏⲣⲱⲇⲏⲥ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲁⲩϣⲟⲡ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲡⲉ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧϫⲁϫⲓ ⲉⲛⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲟⲩ .
Herod and Pilate became friends with each other that very day, for before that they were enemies with each other.
23.13
ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲛⲓⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲓⲁⲣⲭⲱⲛ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲓⲗⲁⲟⲥ
Pilate called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,
23.14
ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲁⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲓⲛⲓ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϩⲱⲥ ⲉϥⲫⲱⲛϩ ⲙⲡⲓⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲧⲁⲓϣⲉⲛϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁϥ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲑⲟ ⲙⲡⲓϫⲉⲙ ϩⲗⲓ ⲛⲉⲧⲓⲁ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲁⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉⲣⲕⲁⲧⲏⲅⲟⲣⲓⲛ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ .
and said to them, 'You brought this man to me as one that perverts the people, and see, I have examined him before you, and found no basis for a charge against this man concerning those things of which you accuse him.
23.15
ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲡⲕⲉⲏⲣⲱⲇⲏⲥ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲟⲣⲡϥ ⲅⲁⲣ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ϩⲗⲓ ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛϧⲏⲧϥ ⲉⲁϥⲁⲓϥ ⲉϥⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲙⲫⲙⲟⲩ .
Neither has Herod, for I sent you to him, and see, nothing worthy of death has been done by him.
23.16
ⲛⲧⲁϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛⲧⲁⲭⲁϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ .
I will therefore chastise him and release him.'
23.17
ⲛⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲟⲩ ⲕⲁϩⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲑⲣⲉϥⲭⲱ ⲛⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲛⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲥⲟⲛϩ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲡϣⲁⲓ
Now he had to release one prisoner to them at the feast.
23.18
ⲁⲡⲓⲙⲏϣ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲱϣ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉⲁⲗⲓ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲭⲁ ⲃⲁⲣⲁⲃⲃⲁⲥ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
But they all cried out together, saying, 'Away with this man! Release to us Barabbas!'--
23.19
ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁⲩϩⲓⲧϥ ⲉⲡϣⲧⲉⲕⲟ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩϣⲑⲟⲣⲧⲉⲣ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩϧⲱⲧⲉⲃ ⲉⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛϯⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ .
one who was thrown into prison for a certain revolt in the city, and for murder.
23.20
ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲁⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲭⲁ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
Then Pilate spoke to them again, wanting to release Jesus,

ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲁϣϥ ⲁϣϥ .
but they shouted, saying, 'Crucify! Crucify him!'
23.22
ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲫⲙⲁϩⲅ ⲛⲥⲟⲡ ϫⲉⲟⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲁ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲁⲓϥ ⲙⲡⲓϫⲉⲙ ϩⲗⲓ ⲛⲉⲧⲓⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲫⲙⲟⲩ ⲛϧⲏⲧϥ ⲛⲧⲁϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛⲧⲁⲭⲁϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ .
He said to them the third time, 'Why? What evil has this man done? I have found no capital crime in him. I will therefore chastise him and release him.'
23.23
ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲁϩⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛϩⲁⲛⲛⲓϣϯ ⲛⲥⲙⲏ ⲉⲩⲉⲣⲉⲧⲓⲛ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲑⲣⲟⲩⲁϣϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲉⲙϫⲟⲙ ⲡⲉ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲟⲩⲥⲙⲏ .
But they were urgent with loud voices, asking that he might be crucified. Their voices and the voices of the chief priests prevailed.
23.24
ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲡⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ϯϩⲁⲡ ⲉⲑⲣⲉϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲟⲩⲉⲧⲏⲙⲁ .
Pilate decreed that what they asked for should be done.
23.25
ⲁϥⲭⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲩϩⲓⲧϥ ⲉⲡϣⲧⲉⲕⲟ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩϧⲱⲧⲉⲃ ⲛⲉⲙϣⲑⲟⲣⲧⲉⲣ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲉⲣⲉⲧⲓⲛ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲡⲟⲩⲟⲩⲱϣ
He released him who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, for whom they asked, but he delivered Jesus up to their will.
23.26
ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲱⲥ ⲉⲩⲓⲛⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲁⲙⲟⲛⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲁⲓ ϫⲉⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲟⲩⲕⲩⲣⲓⲛⲉⲟⲥ ⲉϥⲛⲏ ⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲧⲕⲟⲓ ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲗⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲥ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲑⲣⲉϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲥⲁⲫⲁϩⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ .
When they led him away, they grabbed one Simon of Cyrene, coming from the country, and laid on him the cross, to carry it after Jesus.
23.27
ⲛⲁϥⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲛϫⲉⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⲙⲙⲏϣ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲓⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲛϩⲓⲟⲙⲓ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲛⲁⲩⲧⲱⲓⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩⲛⲉϩⲡⲓ ⲉⲣⲟϥ .
A great multitude of the people followed him, including women who also mourned and lamented him.
23.28
ⲉⲧⲁϥⲫⲟⲛϩϥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉⲛⲓϣⲉⲣⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲁⲗⲏⲙ ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲣⲓⲙⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲓ ⲡⲗⲏⲛ ⲣⲓⲙⲓ ⲉϫⲉⲛⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙⲉϫⲉⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲏⲣⲓ
But Jesus, turning to them, said, 'Daughters of Jerusalem, don't weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.

ϫⲉϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲛϫⲉϩⲁⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲛⲁϫⲟⲥ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲓⲁⲧϭ ⲣⲏⲛ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲓⲛⲉϫⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲡⲟⲩⲙⲓⲥⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲓⲉⲙⲛⲟϯ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲡⲟⲩϣⲁⲛϣ .
For behold, the days are coming in which they will say, 'Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.'
23.30
ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲉⲣϩⲏⲧⲥ ⲛϫⲟⲥ ⲛⲛⲓⲧⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉϩⲉⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲛ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲓⲕⲁⲗⲁⲙⲫⲟ ϫⲉϩⲟⲃⲥⲉⲛ .
Then they will begin to tell the mountains, 'Fall on us!' and tell the hills, 'Cover us.'

The people stood watching. The rulers with them also scoffed at him, saying, 'He saved others. Let him save himself, if this is the Christ of God, his chosen one!'

ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲧⲁⲥⲑⲟ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲥⲉⲃⲧⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲥⲑⲟⲓ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲛⲥⲟϫⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲁⲩⲉⲣⲏⲥⲩⲭⲁⲍⲓⲛ ⲕⲁⲧⲁϯⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ .
They returned, and prepared spices and ointments. On the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment.

But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they and some others came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared.
