ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲡⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲡⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲡⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ ⲛⲉⲛⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲡⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲧⲉⲛϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ .
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus according to the commandment of God our Savior, and Christ Jesus our hope;

ⲛⲧⲓⲙⲟⲑⲉⲟⲥ ⲡⲁⲙⲉⲛⲣⲓⲧ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲫⲛⲁϩϯ ⲡϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲫⲛⲁⲓ ϯϩⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲫⲓⲱⲧ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲉⲛϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲡⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ .
to Timothy, my true child in faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁⲓϯϩⲟ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲉⲑⲣⲉⲕϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲉⲫⲉⲥⲟⲥ ⲉⲓⲛⲁϣⲉ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲉⲧⲙⲁⲕⲉⲇⲟⲛⲓⲁ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲕϩⲟⲛϩⲉⲛ ⲛϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲉϣⲧⲉⲙϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲕⲉⲥⲃⲱ
As I urged you when I was going into Macedonia, stay at Ephesus that you might command certain men not to teach a different doctrine,

ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲛⲥⲉϣⲧⲉⲙϯϩⲑⲏϥ ⲉϩⲁⲛϣⲃⲱ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲛϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲁⲩⲣⲏϫⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧϯ ⲛϩⲁⲛϫⲓⲛⲕⲱϯ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϯⲟⲓⲕⲟⲛⲟⲙⲓⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲛⲫⲛⲁϩϯ .
neither to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which cause disputes, rather than God's stewardship, which is in faith--

ⲡϫⲱⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲁⲓϩⲟⲛϩⲉⲛ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩϩⲏⲧ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲁⲃ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩⲥⲩⲛⲏⲇⲉⲥⲓⲥ ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩⲛⲁϩϯ ⲛⲁⲧⲙⲉⲧϣⲟⲃⲓ .
but the goal of this command is love, out of a pure heart and a good conscience and unfeigned faith;

ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲡⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ϯⲙⲁϯ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲣⲓⲕⲓ ⲉϩⲁⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲙⲙⲉⲧⲉⲫⲗⲏⲟⲩ .
from which things some, having missed the mark, have turned aside to vain talking;

ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲉⲣⲣⲉϥϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲓⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲥⲉⲕⲁϯ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲟⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲧⲁϫⲣⲟ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ .
desiring to be teachers of the law, though they understand neither what they say, nor about what they strongly affirm.

ⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲇⲉ ϫⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉ ⲡⲓⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁⲣⲉϣⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲓⲣⲓ ⲛⲁϥ ϩⲱⲥ ⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ .
But we know that the law is good, if a man uses it lawfully,

ⲉⲕⲉⲙⲓ ⲉⲫⲁⲓ ϫⲉⲛⲁⲣⲉⲡⲓⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲭⲏ ⲙⲡⲓⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁϥⲭⲏ ⲛⲛⲓⲁⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲓⲁⲧϭⲛⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲓⲁⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ⲛⲉⲛⲛⲓⲣⲉϥⲉⲣⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲉⲧⲟⲩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲧ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲛⲓⲥⲁϥϩⲏ ⲧⲛⲛⲓϧⲁⲧⲉⲃ ⲓⲱⲧ ⲛⲛⲓϧⲁⲧⲉⲃ ⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲛⲓϧⲁⲧⲉⲃ ⲣⲱⲙⲓ .
as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

ⲛⲛⲓⲡⲟⲣⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲛⲓⲣⲉϥⲛⲕⲟⲧ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲱⲟⲩⲧ ⲛⲛⲓⲣⲉϥⲉⲣϩⲁⲗ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲛⲓⲣⲉϥϯⲣⲉⲙϩⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲓⲣⲉϥϫⲉⲙⲉⲑⲛⲟⲩϫ ⲛⲛⲓⲣⲉϥⲱⲣⲕ ⲛⲛⲟⲩϫ ⲛⲉⲙⲕⲉϩⲱⲃ ⲕⲉϩⲱⲃ ⲉϥϯ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϩⲣⲉⲛϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲉⲑⲟⲩⲟϫ
for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine;

ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲡⲓⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲓⲙⲁⲕⲁⲣⲓⲟⲥ ⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲧⲉⲛϩⲟⲩⲧ ⲉⲣⲟϥ .
according to the Good News of the glory of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

ϯϣⲉⲡϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲙⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲁϥϯⲛⲟⲙϯ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲡⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲡⲉⲛϭⲟⲓⲥ ϫⲉⲁϥⲟⲡⲧ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲭⲁⲧ ⲉⲩⲇⲓⲁⲕⲱⲛⲓⲁ .
And I thank him who enabled me, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he counted me faithful, appointing me to service;

ⲛⲁⲓⲟⲓ ⲛⲣⲉϥϫⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲉⲙⲇⲓⲱⲕⲧⲏⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲣⲉϥϯϣⲱϣ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁⲩⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲏⲓ ϫⲉⲁⲓⲁⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲛϯⲉⲙⲓ ⲁⲛ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲁⲑⲛⲁϩϯ .
although I was before a blasphemer, a persecutor, and insolent. However, I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

ⲁϥⲉⲣϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲁϣⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲓϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲉⲛϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩⲛⲁϩϯ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲛⲡⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ .
The grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

ϥⲉⲛϩⲟⲧ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϥⲉⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲛϣⲟⲡϥ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ϧⲉⲛϣⲟⲡ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ϫⲉⲡⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲁϥⲓ ⲉⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⲛⲛⲓⲣⲉϥⲉⲣⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓϩⲟⲩⲓⲧ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ .
The saying is faithful and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁⲩⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲏⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛϧⲣⲏⲓ ⲛϧⲏ ⲧⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲛⲧⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲡⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟⲛϩ ⲛⲧⲉϥⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥⲱⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩⲥⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲛⲏ ⲉⲑⲛⲁϩϯ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲩⲱⲛϧ ⲛⲉⲛⲉϩ .
However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first, Jesus Christ might display all his patience, for an example of those who were going to believe in him for eternal life.

ⲡⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲓⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲡⲓⲁⲧⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲡⲓⲁⲑⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧϥ ⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲡⲓⲧⲁⲓⲟ ⲫⲱϥ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲓⲱⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲓⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲁⲙⲏⲛ .
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

ⲡⲁⲓϩⲟⲛϩⲉⲛ ϯϫⲱⲓⲗⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲡⲁϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲧⲓⲙⲟⲑⲉⲟⲥ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲛⲓⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲓⲁ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲉⲣϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲛⲓ ⲉϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲕ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲕϧⲟⲕⲕ ⲛϧⲣⲏⲓ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲛϯⲙⲉⲧⲙⲁⲧⲟⲓ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉⲥ .
This instruction I commit to you, my child Timothy, according to the prophecies which led the way to you, that by them you may wage the good warfare;

ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲁⲕ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲁϩϯ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩⲥⲩⲛⲏⲇⲉⲥⲓⲥ ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉⲥ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧⲁ ϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲭⲁⲥ ⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲃⲓϫⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲛⲁϩϯ .
holding faith and a good conscience; which some having thrust away made a shipwreck concerning the faith;

ⲉⲧⲉⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ϩⲩⲙⲉⲛⲉⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲗⲉⲝⲁⲛⲇⲣⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁⲓⲧⲏⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲥⲁⲧⲁⲛⲁⲥ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲥⲉϭⲓⲥⲃⲱ ⲉϣⲧⲉⲙϫⲉⲟⲩⲁ .
of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I delivered to Satan, that they might be taught not to blaspheme.
2.1
ϯϯϩⲟ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲓⲣⲓ ⲛϩⲁⲛⲧⲱⲃϩ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲛⲡⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭⲏ ϩⲁⲛⲥⲉⲙⲓ ϩⲁⲛϣⲉⲡϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲉϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉϫⲉⲛⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ .
I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men:
2.2
ⲉϫⲉⲛⲛⲓⲟⲩⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙⲉϫⲉⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧϭⲟⲥⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲟⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱⲛϧ ⲉϥϩⲟⲩⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲣⲉⲙⲣⲁⲩϣ ϧⲉⲛⲙⲉⲧⲉⲩⲥⲉⲃⲏ ⲥⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲙⲙⲉⲧⲥⲉⲙⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ .
for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence.
2.3
ⲫⲁⲓ ⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϥϣⲏⲡ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲑⲟ ⲙⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲡⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ .
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior;

ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲑⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲥⲉⲓ ⲉⲡⲥⲟⲩⲉⲛ ϯⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ .
who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth.

ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲙⲉⲥⲓⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲡⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲛⲥⲱϯ ⲉϫⲉⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲙⲉⲑⲣⲉ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲉϥⲥⲏⲟⲩ
who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times;

ⲫⲁⲓ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲭⲁⲧ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛⲣⲉϥϩⲓⲱⲓϣ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⲧⲙⲏⲓ ⲡⲉϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛϯϫⲉⲙⲉⲑⲛⲟⲩϫ ⲁⲛ ⲫⲣⲉϥϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲧⲉϩⲁⲛⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲛⲁϩϯ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ .
to which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth in Christ, not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

ϯⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲧⲱⲃϩ ϧⲉⲛⲙⲁⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲩϥⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲁⲛϫⲓϫ ⲉⲡϣⲱⲓ ⲉⲩⲟⲩⲁⲃ ⲭⲱⲣⲓⲥ ϫⲱⲛⲧ ⲛⲉⲙⲙⲟⲕⲙⲉⲕ .
I desire therefore that the men in every place pray, lifting up holy hands without anger and doubting.

ⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ⲟⲛ ⲛⲓϩⲓⲟⲙⲓ ⲉⲩϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲥⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲉⲥⲟⲣϥ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧϫⲫⲓⲏϯ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩⲥⲁⲃⲉ ⲉⲩⲥⲟⲗⲥⲉⲗ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛϩⲁⲛϩⲱⲗⲕ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲛⲛⲟⲩⲃ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲛⲁⲛⲁⲙⲏⲓ ⲓⲉ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩϭⲓϩⲃⲱⲥ ⲉⲛⲁϣⲉⲛⲥⲟⲩⲉⲛϥ .
In the same way, that women also adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and propriety; not just with braided hair, gold, pearls, or expensive clothing;

ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲡⲉⲧϩⲣⲁⲩ ⲛⲛⲓϩⲓⲟⲙⲓ ϭⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲩⲱϣ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲑⲉⲟⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛϩⲁⲛϩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉⲩ
but (which becomes women professing godliness) with good works.
2.11
ⲟⲩⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲥϭⲓⲥⲃⲱ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉⲙⲣⲁⲩϣ ⲛϧⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛϭⲛⲉϫⲱϥ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ .
Let a woman learn in quietness with all subjection.
2.12
ϯⲟⲩⲁϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲉϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲉⲑⲣⲉⲥⲉⲣϫⲱϫ ⲉⲡⲉⲥϩⲁⲓ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲥϭⲓⲥⲃⲱ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉⲙⲣⲁⲩϣ .
But I don't permit a woman to teach, nor to exercise authority over a man, but to be in quietness.

ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲩⲉⲣⲡⲗⲁⲍⲓⲛ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲓⲧⲁ ⲉⲩⲁ .
For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

ϥⲉⲛϩⲟⲧ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲑⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲉⲡⲓⲥⲕⲟⲡⲟⲥ ⲟⲩϩⲱⲃ ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉⲡⲓⲑⲩⲙⲓⲛ ⲉⲣⲟϥ .
This is a faithful saying: if a man seeks the office of an overseer, he desires a good work.

ⲥⲉⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲓⲉⲡⲓⲥⲕⲟⲡⲟⲥ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲁⲧⲗⲱⲓϫⲓ ⲉⲁϥⲉⲣϩⲁⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲉϥⲣⲏ ⲥⲛⲥⲁⲃⲉ ⲛⲥⲉⲗⲥⲓⲗ ⲙⲙⲁⲓϣⲉⲙⲙⲟ ⲛⲣⲉϥϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ .
The overseer therefore must be without reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, sensible, modest, hospitable, good at teaching;

not a drinker, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous;

ⲉϥϥⲓⲫⲣⲱⲟⲩϣ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ⲛⲕⲁⲗⲱⲥ ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲁϥ ⲛϩⲁⲛϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲛⲟⲩϭⲛⲉϫⲱϥ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲥⲉⲙⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ .
one who rules his own house well, having children in subjection with all reverence;

ⲛⲟⲩⲧⲱϫⲓ ⲙⲃⲉⲣⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉϥϣⲧⲉⲙϭ ⲓⲥⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲛⲧⲉϥϩⲉⲓ ⲉϧⲣⲏⲓ ⲉⲩϩⲁⲡ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲓⲇⲓⲁⲃⲟⲗⲟⲥ .
not a new convert, lest being puffed up he fall into the same condemnation as the devil.

ⲥⲉⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲕⲉⲙⲉⲧⲙⲉⲑⲣⲉ ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉϥϣⲧⲉⲙϩⲉⲓ ⲉⲟⲩϣⲱϣ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩⲫⲁϣ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲓⲇⲓⲁⲃⲟⲗⲟⲥ .
Moreover he must have good testimony from those who are outside, to avoid falling into reproach and the snare of the devil.

ϩⲁⲛⲇⲓⲁⲕⲱⲛ ⲟⲛ ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲩⲟⲓ ⲛⲥⲉⲙⲛⲟⲥ ⲉϩⲁⲛⲣⲉϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲃⲁⲛ ⲛⲉⲛⲥⲉϯ ⲛϩⲑⲏ ⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⲛⲏⲣⲡ ⲉϩⲁⲛⲁϥϫⲓⲣ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉⲉϩⲁⲛⲙⲁⲓϩⲏⲟⲩ ⲉϥϣⲏϣ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉ .
Servants, in the same way, must be reverent, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy for money;

holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

ⲛⲁⲓⲕⲉⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩⲉⲣⲇⲟⲕⲓⲙⲁⲍⲓⲛ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲓⲧⲁ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩϣⲉⲙϣⲓ ⲉⲩⲟⲓ ⲛⲁⲧⲁⲣⲓⲕⲓ .
Let them also first be tested; then let them serve if they are blameless.

ϩⲁⲛϩⲓⲟⲙⲓ ⲟⲛ ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲩⲟⲓ ⲛⲥⲉⲙⲛⲓ ⲉϩⲁⲛⲇⲓⲁⲃⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉⲉⲩⲣⲏⲥ ⲉⲩⲉⲛϩⲟⲧ ϧⲉⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ .
Their wives in the same way must be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things.

ϩⲁⲛⲇⲓⲁⲕⲱⲛ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲁⲩⲉⲣϩⲁⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲉⲩϥⲓⲫⲣⲱⲟⲩϣ ⲛⲛⲟⲩϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛⲕⲁⲗⲱⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲟⲩⲏⲓ .
Let servants be husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.

ⲛⲏ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧⲁⲩϣⲉⲙϣⲓ ⲛⲕⲁⲗⲱⲥ ⲟⲩⲧⲱⲧⲉⲣ ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⲙⲡⲁⲣⲣⲏⲥⲓⲁ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲛⲁϩϯ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲛⲡⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ .
For those who have served well gain for themselves a good standing, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

ⲛⲁⲓ ϯⲥϧⲁⲓ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉⲓⲉⲣϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ⲉⲓ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲕ ⲛⲭⲱⲗⲉⲙ .
These things I write to you, hoping to come to you shortly;

but if I wait long, that you may know how men ought to behave themselves in the house of God, which is the assembly of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

Without controversy, the mystery of godliness is great: God was revealed in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and received up in glory.
4.1
ⲡⲓⲡⲛⲉⲩⲙⲁⲇⲉ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲣⲏⲧⲟⲥ ϫⲉϧⲉⲛⲛⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϧⲁⲉ ⲉⲣⲉϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲫⲛⲁϩϯ ⲉⲩϯ ⲛϩⲑⲏⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲁⲛⲡⲛⲉⲩⲙⲁⲙⲡⲗⲁⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲇⲁⲓⲙⲱⲛ .
But the Spirit says expressly that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons,

ⲛⲧⲉϩⲁⲛϣⲟⲃⲓ ⲛⲣⲉϥϫⲉⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲙⲙⲉⲑⲛⲟⲩϫ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲟⲩⲥⲩⲛⲏⲇⲉⲥⲓⲥ ⲣⲱⲕϩ ⲛϧⲣⲏⲓ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ .
through the hypocrisy of men who speak lies, branded in their own conscience as with a hot iron;

ⲉⲩⲧⲁϩⲛⲟ ⲙⲡⲓⲅⲁⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲉϩⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲓϧⲣⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁ ⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲥⲟⲛⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲓⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲉⲑⲣⲟⲩϭⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩϣⲉⲡϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲥⲟⲩⲉⲛ ϯⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ .
forbidding marriage and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.
4.4
ϫⲉⲥⲱⲛⲧ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ϩⲗⲓ ⲉϥϩⲱⲟⲩⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩϭⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩϣⲉⲡϩⲙⲟⲧ .
For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it is received with thanksgiving.

ϣⲁϥⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩⲥⲉⲙⲓ .
For it is sanctified through the word of God and prayer.

ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲕⲭⲱ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲁⲧⲉⲛⲛⲓⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲉⲕⲉϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲇⲓⲁⲕⲱⲛ ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲉⲕϣⲁⲛⲉⲩϣ ϧⲉⲛⲛⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲫⲛⲁϩϯ ⲛⲉⲙϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉⲥ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲛⲥⲱⲥ .
If you instruct the brothers of these things, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished in the words of the faith, and of the good doctrine which you have followed.

ⲛⲓⲥⲙⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲥⲱϥ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲓϣϥⲱ ⲛϧⲉⲗⲗⲱ ϩⲉⲛⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲣⲓⲅⲩⲙⲛⲁⲍⲓⲛ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛϯⲙⲉⲧⲉⲩⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ .
But refuse profane and old wives' fables. Exercise yourself toward godliness.

ϯⲅⲩⲙⲛⲁⲥⲓⲁ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲥⲉⲣⲛⲟϥⲣⲓ ⲡⲣⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲕⲟⲩϫⲓ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲉⲩⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲥⲉⲣⲛⲟϥⲣⲓ ϧⲉⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲁⲥ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲱⲛϧ ⲛⲧⲉϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲉⲑⲛⲏⲟⲩ .
For bodily exercise has some value, but godliness has value in all things, having the promise of the life which is now, and of that which is to come.

ϥⲉⲛϩⲟⲧ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϥⲉⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲛϣⲟⲡϥ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ϧⲉⲛϣⲱⲡ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ .
This saying is faithful and worthy of all acceptance.

ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲫⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲉⲛϧⲟⲥⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲉϯϣⲱϣ ⲛⲁⲛ ϫⲉⲁⲛⲉⲣϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ⲉⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲧⲟⲛϧ ⲉⲧⲉⲡⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲙⲁⲗⲓⲥⲧⲁ ⲛⲓⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ .
For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we have set our trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.

ϩⲟⲛϩⲉⲛ ⲛⲛⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲁⲥⲃⲱ .
Command and teach these things.
4.12
ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲑⲣⲉ ϩⲗⲓ ⲉⲣⲕⲁⲧⲁⲫⲣⲟⲛⲓⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲕⲙⲉⲧⲁⲗⲟⲩ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲕⲟⲓ ⲛⲧⲩⲡⲟⲥ ⲛⲛⲓⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲥⲁϫⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓϫⲓⲛⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛϯⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲛⲁϩϯ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟ
Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.

ϩⲱⲥ ϯⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲙⲁϩⲑⲏⲕ ⲉⲡⲓⲱϣ ⲡⲓⲧⲱⲃϩ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϯⲥⲃⲱ .
Until I come, pay attention to reading, to exhortation, and to teaching.
4.14
ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲉⲣⲁⲙⲉⲗⲉⲥ ⲉⲡⲓϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲉⲧⲉⲛϧⲏⲧⲕ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏ ⲧⲓⲁ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲓⲭⲁϫⲓϫ ⲛⲧⲉϯⲙⲉⲧⲡⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ .
Don't neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the elders.

ⲛⲁⲓ ⲁⲣⲓⲙⲉⲗⲉⲧⲁⲛ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲉⲕⲓ ⲉⲧϩⲏ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ .
Be diligent in these things. Give yourself wholly to them, that your progress may be revealed to all.

Pay attention to yourself, and to your teaching. Continue in these things, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

ⲟⲩϧⲉⲗⲗⲟ ⲙⲡⲉⲣϯⲧⲉⲛϣⲓ ⲛⲁϥ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲙⲁⲛⲟⲙϯ ⲛⲁϥ ⲙⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛⲟⲩⲓⲱⲧ ⲛⲓⲁⲗⲱⲟⲩⲓ ⲙⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛϩⲁⲛⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ .
Don't rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brothers;

the elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, in all purity.
5.3
ⲛⲓⲭⲏⲣⲁ ⲙⲁⲧⲁⲓⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲟⲛⲧⲱⲥ ϩⲁⲛⲭⲏⲣⲁ ⲛⲉ .
Honor widows who are widows indeed.
5.4
ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲭⲏⲣⲁ ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲁⲥ ⲛϩⲁⲛϣⲏ ⲣⲓ ⲓⲉ ϩⲁⲛϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩⲥⲁⲃⲟ ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲉⲩⲙⲉⲧⲉⲩⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲙⲙⲓⲛⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲥⲉϯⲧⲁⲓⲟ ⲛⲛⲟⲩϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲛⲓⲟϯ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧϣⲏⲡ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲑⲟ ⲙⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ .
But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety towards their own family, and to repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
5.5
ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲟⲛⲧⲱⲥ ⲟⲩⲭⲏⲣⲁ ⲧⲉ ⲉⲥⲥⲟϫⲡ ⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧⲥ ⲁⲥⲉⲣϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ⲉⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲥⲙⲏⲛ ⲉⲛⲓⲡⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭⲏ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲓⲧⲱⲃϩ ⲛϫⲱⲣϩ ⲛⲉⲙⲙⲉⲣⲓ .
Now she who is a widow indeed, and desolate, has her hope set on God, and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.
5.6
ⲑⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧϫⲉⲣϫⲉⲣ ⲁⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲥⲟⲛϧ .
But she who gives herself to pleasure is dead while she lives.
5.7
ϩⲟⲛϩⲉⲛ ⲛⲛⲁⲓⲕⲉⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲥⲉϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲩⲟⲓ ⲛⲁⲧⲗⲱⲓϫⲓ
Also command these things, that they may be without reproach.
5.8
ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲛϥⲓⲫⲣⲱⲟⲩϣ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲁⲗⲓⲥⲧⲁ ⲛⲁⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ⲙⲙⲓⲛⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁϥϫⲉⲗ ⲫⲛⲁϩϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϥϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲟⲩⲁⲑⲛⲁϩϯ .
But if anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.
5.9
ⲟⲩⲭⲏⲣⲁ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲛⲥⲁⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲛⲝ ⲛⲣⲟⲙⲡⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲁⲥⲉⲣⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲁⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ .
Let no one be enrolled as a widow under sixty years old, having been the wife of one man,

ⲉⲩⲉⲣⲙⲉⲑⲣⲉ ϧⲁⲣⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛϩⲁⲛϩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉⲩ ϫⲉⲁⲛ ⲁⲥϣⲁⲛⲉϣ ϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲓⲉ ⲁⲥϣⲉⲡ ϣⲉⲙⲙⲟ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲓⲉ ⲁⲥⲓⲁ ⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲏ ⲉⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲓⲉ ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲁϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲏ ⲉⲧϩⲉϫϩⲱϫ ⲓⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲥⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲛⲥⲁϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉⲩ .
being approved by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has been hospitable to strangers, if she has washed the saints' feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, and if she has diligently followed every good work.
5.11
ⲛⲓⲁⲗⲱⲟⲩⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲭⲏⲣⲁ ϩⲉⲛⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϩⲟⲧⲁⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲩϣⲁⲛϫⲉⲣϫⲉⲣ ⲛⲥⲁⲡⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ϣⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲉϭⲓϩⲁⲓ .
But refuse younger widows, for when they have grown wanton against Christ, they desire to marry;

ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲁⲡ ϫⲉⲡⲓⲛⲁϩϯ ⲛⲧⲉϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲁⲩϫⲟⲗϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ .
having condemnation, because they have rejected their first pledge.
5.13
ⲁⲙⲁ ⲇⲉ ϣⲁⲩⲉⲣⲡⲕⲉⲥⲁⲃⲟ ⲉⲉⲣⲁⲣⲅⲟⲥ ⲉⲩⲕⲱϯ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲛⲓⲏⲓ ⲟⲩ ⲙⲟⲛⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲣⲅⲟⲥ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲗⲓⲁⲣⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲉⲣⲓⲉⲣⲅⲟⲥ ⲉⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲥⲉⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲁⲛ .
Besides, they also learn to be idle, going about from house to house. Not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not.
5.14
ϯⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲓⲁⲗⲱⲟⲩⲓ ⲛϩⲓⲟⲙⲓ ϭⲓϩⲁⲓ ⲛⲥⲉϫⲫⲉ ϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛⲥⲉⲉⲣⲛⲏⲃ ⲉⲡⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲉϣⲧⲉⲙϯ ϩⲗⲓ ⲛⲗⲱⲓϫⲓ ⲙⲡⲓⲁⲛⲧⲓⲕⲓⲙⲉⲛⲟⲥ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩϩⲱⲟⲩϣ .
I desire therefore that the younger widows marry, bear children, rule the household, and give no occasion to the adversary for reviling.
5.15
ϩⲏⲇⲏ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲣⲁⲕⲟⲩ ⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲥⲁⲧⲁⲛⲁⲥ .
For already some have turned aside after Satan.
5.16
ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲏ ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲁⲥ ⲛϩⲁⲛⲭⲏ ⲣⲁ ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲥⲣⲱⲟⲩϣ ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲑⲣⲟⲩⲟⲩⲁϩⲃⲁⲣⲟⲥ ⲉϯⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲥⲣⲱϣⲓ ⲉⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲟⲛⲧⲱⲥ ϩⲁⲛⲭⲏⲣⲁ ⲛⲉ .
If any man or woman who believes has widows, let them relieve them, and don't let the assembly be burdened; that it might relieve those who are widows indeed.
5.17
ⲛⲓⲡⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲉⲧⲟⲓ ⲙⲡⲣⲟⲉⲥⲧⲱⲥ ⲛⲕⲁⲗⲱⲥ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩⲉⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲛⲟⲩⲧⲁⲓⲟ ⲉϥⲕⲏⲃ ⲙⲁⲗⲓⲥⲧⲁ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧϧⲟⲥⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙϯⲥⲃⲱ .
Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching.
5.18
ⲥϫⲱ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛϫⲉϯⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ϫⲉⲛⲛⲉⲕϯⲥⲁⲭⲟⲗ ⲉϩⲣⲉⲛⲉϩⲉ ⲉϥϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓⲉⲣⲅⲁⲧⲏ ⲥϥⲉⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲃⲉⲭⲉ .
For the Scripture says, 'You shall not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain.'
5.19
ⲛⲛⲉⲕϭⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲁⲧⲏⲅⲟⲣⲓⲁ ϧⲁⲟⲩⲡⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲙⲉⲑⲣⲉ ⲃⲓⲉ ⲅ
Don't receive an accusation against an elder, except at the word of two or three witnesses.
5.20
ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲣⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲥⲁϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲑⲟ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲡⲕⲉⲥⲉⲡⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲟⲩϩⲟϯ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ .
Those who sin, reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear.
5.21
ϯⲉⲣⲙⲉⲑⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲑⲟ ⲙⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲉϥⲥⲱⲧⲡ ⲛⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲕⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲛⲁⲓ ⲁϭⲛⲉ ⲑⲙⲁⲓⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ϧⲁϫⲉⲛ ⲡϩⲁⲡ ⲛⲕⲉⲣ ϩⲗⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲟⲩⲣⲓⲕⲓ .
I command you in the sight of God, and Christ Jesus, and the chosen angels, that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.
5.22
ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲭⲁ ϫⲓϫ ⲉϫⲉⲛϩⲗⲓ ⲛⲭⲱⲗⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲉⲣϣⲫⲏⲣ ⲉϩⲁⲛⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲛϣⲉⲙⲙⲟ ⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲉⲕⲧⲟⲩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲧ .
Lay hands hastily on no one, neither be a participant in other men's sins. Keep yourself pure.
5.23
ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲥⲉ ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲥⲉ ⲟⲩⲕⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲛⲏⲣⲡ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲧⲉⲕϣⲟϣⲡⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲉⲕϣⲱⲛⲓ ⲉⲧⲟϣ .
Be no longer a drinker of water only, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake and your frequent infirmities.
5.24
ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲉⲣⲉⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲟⲩⲟⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩⲛⲁⲱⲥⲕ ϧⲁϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲉϯⲕⲣⲓⲥⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲕⲉⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲣⲉⲛⲟⲩⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩ .
Some men's sins are evident, preceding them to judgment, and some also follow later.
5.25
ⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ⲛⲓⲕⲉϩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉⲩ ⲥⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲓⲕⲉⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲉⲧⲟⲓ ⲛⲕⲉⲣⲏϯ ⲥⲉⲛⲁϣϩⲱⲡ ⲁⲛ .
In the same way also there are good works that are obvious, and those that are otherwise can't be hidden.
6.1
ⲛⲓⲉⲃⲓⲁⲓⲕ ⲉⲧⲭⲏ ϧⲁⲫⲛⲁϩⲃⲉϥ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩⲭ ⲁⲛⲟⲩϭⲓⲥⲉⲩ ⲛⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛⲧⲁⲓⲟ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲥⲉϣⲧⲉⲙϫⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲉⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⲙⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲛⲉⲙϯⲥⲃⲱ .
Let as many as are bondservants under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and the doctrine not be blasphemed.
6.2
ⲛⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛϩⲁⲛϭ ⲓⲥⲉⲩ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲑⲣⲟⲩⲉⲣⲕⲁⲧⲁⲫⲣⲟⲛⲓⲛ ϫⲉϩⲁⲛⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲙⲁⲗⲗⲟⲛ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩⲉⲣⲃⲱⲕ ϫⲉϩⲁⲛⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲁⲛⲙⲉⲛⲣⲁϯ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲙⲟⲛⲓ ⲛⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛϯⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥⲉⲣϩⲉⲃⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲙⲁⲥⲃⲱ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲁⲛⲟⲙϯ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ .
Those who have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brothers, but rather let them serve them, because those who partake of the benefit are believing and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.
6.3
ⲫⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧϯ ⲛⲕⲉⲥⲃⲱ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲉⲛϥⲛⲏ ⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲉϩⲁⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲉⲑⲟⲩⲟϫ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲉⲛϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲡⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲧⲉϯⲙⲉⲧⲉⲩⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ .
If anyone teaches a different doctrine, and doesn't consent to sound words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness,
6.4
ⲁϥϭⲟⲥⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲛϥⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϩⲗⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁϥϣⲱⲛⲓ ⲙⲡⲕⲱϯ ⲛϩⲁⲛⲍⲏⲧⲏⲥⲓⲥ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲙⲗⲁϩ ⲛⲏ ⲉϣⲁⲣⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲫⲑⲟⲛⲟⲥ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲛϣⲟⲛⲧ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲛϫⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲛⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⲉⲩϩⲱⲟⲩ .
he is conceited, knowing nothing, but obsessed with arguments, disputes, and word battles, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions,
6.5
ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲛⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϯⲑⲱϧ ϩⲁⲛⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲟⲩϩⲏⲧ ⲧⲁⲕⲏⲟⲩⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩϥⲏϫ ⲛⲧⲙⲏⲓ ⲉⲩⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⲉϯⲙⲉⲧⲉⲩⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ϫⲉⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϫⲫⲉ ϩⲏⲟⲩ ⲧⲉ .
constant friction of people of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. Withdraw yourself from such.
6.6
ⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϫⲫⲉ ϩⲏⲟⲩ ⲧⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲉⲩⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲣⲱϣⲓ .
But godliness with contentment is great gain.
6.7
ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲉⲛ ϩⲗⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ϣϫⲟⲙ ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲉⲉⲛ ϩⲗⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ .
For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can't carry anything out.
6.8
ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲁⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲟⲩϧⲣⲉ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩϩⲉⲃⲥⲱ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩⲣⲁϣⲉⲛ .
But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.
