1. 5.17

   ϭⲓⲛϫⲟⲛⲥ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲉϥϭⲓ ⲉⲫⲙⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ

   All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not leading to death.

2. 5.18

   ⲧⲉⲛⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲙⲁⲥϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲙⲡⲁϥⲉⲣⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲡⲓⲙⲓⲥⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ϣⲁϥⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲡⲁⲣⲉ ⲡⲓⲡⲟⲛⲏ ⲣⲟⲥ ϭⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ

   We know that whoever is born of God doesn't sin, but he who was born of God keeps himself, and the evil one doesn't touch him.

   ⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲇⲉ ϫⲉⲁⲛⲟⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲁϥⲭⲏ ϧⲁⲡⲓⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ

   We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

   ⲧⲉⲛⲥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲇⲉ ϫⲉⲁϥⲓ ⲛϫⲉⲡϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲙⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϯ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲛⲟⲩⲉⲙⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲥⲟⲩⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲁⲗⲏⲑⲓⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲉⲛϣⲟⲡ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲡⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲁⲗⲏⲑⲓⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲓⲱⲛϧ ⲛⲉⲛⲉϩ

   We know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

5. 5.21

   ⲛⲁϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲛⲓⲓⲇⲱⲗⲟⲛ .

   Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
