A ruling line divides the columns. The tablet belongs to the 1882-09-18 collection of the BM, which contains tablets mainly from Sippar (Reade 1986, xxxiii).

Commentary

i 4': ṣu-up-pi-tu₄: We take this word as a hitherto unattested fem. form of ṣuppu “sold, massive (said of objects made from precious metals)” (CAD Ṣ 248). Deriving it from ṣubītu “dying” (CAD Ṣ 228) is less likely.

i 5': ak-ki-ik: ekēkum (i) “to scratch” or eqēqum (i) “to paralyze”?

i 6': ⸢i^?⸣-ḫar-ru-ru: ḫarārum “to dig, hollow out”. Less likely arārum “to be convulsed, suffer from cramps”.
