ϩⲱⲥ ⲉⲓϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲟⲩⲱⲓⲛⲓ ⲙⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ .
While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.'

ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲁϥϩⲓⲟⲩⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲑⲁϥ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏ ⲧⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲙⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲑⲁϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲗⲁⲗⲱϥ ⲉⲛⲉⲛⲃⲁⲗ ⲙⲡⲓⲃⲉⲗⲗⲉ ⲙⲙⲓⲥⲓ
When he had said this, he spat on the ground, made mud with the saliva, anointed the blind man's eyes with the mud,

ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲙⲁϣⲉ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲓⲁ ⲡⲉⲕϩⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛϯⲕⲟⲗⲩⲙⲃⲏⲑⲣⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲓⲥⲓⲗⲱⲁⲙ ⲫⲏ ⲉϣⲁⲩⲟⲩⲁϩⲙⲉϥ ϫⲉⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲟⲩⲟⲣⲡϥ ⲁϥϣⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲁϥⲓⲱⲓ ⲙⲡⲉϥϩⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲓ ⲉϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲙⲃⲟⲗ
and said to him, 'Go, wash in the pool of Siloam' (which means 'Sent'). So he went away, washed, and came back seeing.

ⲛⲉϥⲑⲉϣⲉⲩ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ϫⲉⲛⲉⲟⲩϣⲁⲧ ⲙⲉⲑⲛⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉⲙⲏ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲛⲁϥϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ ⲉϥϣⲁⲧ ⲙⲉⲑⲛⲁⲓ .
The neighbors therefore, and those who saw that he was blind before, said, 'Isn't this he who sat and begged?'
9.9
ϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲡⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲕⲉⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁϥⲟⲛⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ .
Others were saying, 'It is he.' Still others were saying, 'He looks like him.' He said, 'I am he.'
9.10
ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉⲡⲱⲥ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲉⲕⲃⲁⲗ .
They therefore were asking him, 'How were your eyes opened?'

ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛϫⲉⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲁϥⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲙⲓ ⲁϥⲗⲁⲗⲱϥ ⲉⲛⲁⲃⲁⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲏⲓ ϫⲉⲙⲁϣⲉ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲓⲁ ⲡⲉⲕϩⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲥⲓⲗⲱⲁⲙ ⲁⲓϣⲉ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲓⲓⲱⲓ ⲙⲡⲁϩⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲙⲃⲟⲗ .
He answered, 'A man called Jesus made mud, anointed my eyes, and said to me, 'Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash.' So I went away and washed, and I received sight.'
9.12
ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲁϥⲑⲱⲛ ϩⲱϥ ⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉϯⲉⲙⲓ ⲁⲛ .
Then they asked him, 'Where is he?' He said, 'I don't know.'
9.13
ⲁⲩⲉⲛϥ ⲟⲩⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲓⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲉⲟⲥ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲛⲁϥⲟⲓ ⲙⲃⲉⲗⲗⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲏⲟⲩ .
They brought him who had been blind to the Pharisees.
9.14
ⲛⲉ ⲡⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲁϥⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟ ⲙⲡⲓⲟⲙⲓ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲑⲣⲉ ⲛⲉϥⲃⲁⲗ ⲟⲩⲱⲛ .
It was a Sabbath when Jesus made the mud and opened his eyes.
9.15
ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲁⲩϣⲓⲛⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲓⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲡⲱⲥ ⲁⲕⲛⲁⲩ ⲙⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲟⲩⲟⲙⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲁϥⲭⲁϥ ⲉϫⲉⲛⲛⲁⲃⲁⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲓⲁⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲙⲃⲟⲗ .
Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. He said to them, 'He put mud on my eyes, I washed, and I see.'
9.16
ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲛϫⲉϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲛⲓⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲉⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲡⲁⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉⲛϥⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲡⲓⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲕⲉⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲡⲱⲥ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ϣϫⲟⲙ ⲛⲧⲉⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲣⲉϥⲉⲣⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲉⲣ ⲛⲁⲓⲙⲏⲓⲛⲓ ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲥⲭⲓⲥⲙⲁ ⲛⲁϥϣⲟⲡ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ .
Some therefore of the Pharisees said, 'This man is not from God, because he doesn't keep the Sabbath.' Others said, 'How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?' There was division among them.
9.17
ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲓⲃⲉⲗⲗⲉ ϫⲉⲟⲩ ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲉⲧⲉⲕϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲑⲃⲏⲧϥ ϫⲉⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲛⲉⲕⲃⲁⲗ ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉⲟⲩⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲡⲉ .
Therefore they asked the blind man again, 'What do you say about him, because he opened your eyes?' He said, 'He is a prophet.'
9.18
ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲧⲉⲛϩⲟⲩⲧϥ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϫⲉⲛⲁϥⲟⲓ ⲙⲃⲉⲗⲗⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲙⲃⲟⲗ ϣⲁⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲛⲉϥⲓⲟϯ
The Jews therefore did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight,
9.19
ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲧⲟⲩϣⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲁⲛ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲁⲛⲙⲁⲥϥ ⲉϥⲟⲓ ⲙⲃⲉⲗⲗⲉ ⲡⲱⲥ ϫⲉϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲙⲃⲟⲗ .
and asked them, 'Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then does he now see?'
9.20
ⲁⲩⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲉϥⲓⲟϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲛϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϫⲉⲁⲛⲙⲁⲥϥ ⲉϥⲟⲓ ⲙⲃⲉⲗⲗⲉ .
His parents answered them, 'We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind;
9.21
ⲡⲱⲥ ϫⲉϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲙⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲉⲛⲉⲙⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲓⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲃⲁⲗ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲧⲉⲛⲉⲙⲓ ⲁⲛ ϣⲉⲛϥ ⲧⲉϥⲙⲁⲓⲏ ⲛⲧⲁϥ ⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧϥ ϩⲱϥ ⲉⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲉⲑⲃⲏⲧϥ .
but how he now sees, we don't know; or who opened his eyes, we don't know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself.'
9.22
ⲛⲁⲓ ⲁⲩϫⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲉϥⲓⲟϯ ⲉⲡⲓⲇⲏ ⲛⲁⲩⲉⲣϩⲟϯ ⲡⲉ ϧⲁⲧϩⲏ ⲛⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲛⲉⲁⲩⲥⲉⲙⲛⲏ ⲧⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲁⲣⲉϣⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲟⲛϩϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉⲡⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲟⲩⲁⲓϥ ⲛⲁⲡⲟⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲟⲥ .
His parents said these things because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if any man would confess him as Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue.
9.23
ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲫⲁⲓ ⲁⲩϫⲟⲥ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲉϥⲓⲟϯ ϫⲉⲧⲉϥⲙⲁⲓⲏ ⲛⲧⲁϥ ϩⲱϥ ϣⲉⲛϥ .
Therefore his parents said, 'He is of age. Ask him.'
9.24
ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲙⲫⲙⲁϩⲥⲟⲡ ⲃⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲛⲁϥⲟⲓ ⲙⲃⲉⲗⲗⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲙⲁⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲧⲉⲛⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉⲡⲁⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲣⲉϥⲉⲣⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲡⲉ .
So they called the man who was blind a second time, and said to him, 'Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.'
9.25
ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛϫⲉⲫⲏ ⲉⲛⲁϥⲟⲓ ⲙⲃⲉⲗⲗⲉ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲣⲉϥⲉⲣⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲛϯⲉⲙⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϯⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϫⲉⲛⲁⲓⲟⲓ ⲙⲃⲉⲗⲗⲉ ⲡⲉ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ϯⲛⲁⲩ ⲙⲃⲟⲗ .
He therefore answered, 'I don't know if he is a sinner. One thing I do know: that though I was blind, now I see.'
9.26
ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲁϥⲁⲓϥ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲡⲱⲥ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲛⲉⲕⲃⲁⲗ .
They said to him again, 'What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?'
9.27
ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉϩⲏⲇⲏ ⲁⲓϫⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲟⲩ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲥⲟⲑⲙⲉϥ ⲙⲏ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱϣ ϩⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲉⲉⲣⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲁϥ .
He answered them, 'I told you already, and you didn't listen. Why do you want to hear it again? You don't also want to become his disciples, do you?'
9.28
ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩϩⲱⲟⲩϣ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲙⲱⲩⲥⲏⲥ .
They insulted him and said, 'You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.
9.29
ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲧⲉⲛⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉⲁⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲙⲱⲩⲥⲏⲥ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲧⲉⲛⲉⲙⲓ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲑⲱⲛ ⲡⲉ .
We know that God has spoken to Moses. But as for this man, we don't know where he comes from.'
9.30
ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲑⲁⲓ ⲣⲱ ⲧⲉ ϯϣⲫⲏⲣⲓ ϫⲉⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲑⲱⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲛⲁⲃⲁⲗ .
The man answered them, 'How amazing! You don't know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes.
9.31
ⲧⲉⲛⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉⲙⲡⲁⲣⲉ ⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉϩⲁⲛⲣⲉϥⲉⲣⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲉⲟⲩϣⲁⲙϣⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲓⲣⲓ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲫⲁⲓ ϣⲁϥⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲣⲟϥ .
We know that God doesn't listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshipper of God, and does his will, he listens to him.
9.32
ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ϫⲉⲁ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲛⲉⲛⲃⲁⲗ ⲛⲟⲩⲃⲉⲗⲗⲉ ⲙⲙⲓⲥⲓ .
Since the world began it has never been heard of that anyone opened the eyes of someone born blind.
9.33
ⲉⲛⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲁϥⲛⲁϣϫⲉⲙϫⲟⲙ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲉⲣ ϩⲗⲓ .
If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.'
9.34
ⲁⲩⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲟⲩϫⲫⲟ ⲧⲏⲣⲕ ϧⲉⲛⲫⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲉⲑⲛⲁϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩϩⲓⲧϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ .
They answered him, 'You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us?' They threw him out.
9.35
ⲁϥⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ϫⲉⲁⲩϩⲓⲧϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲉⲙϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉⲭⲛⲁϩϯ ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲉⲡϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲙⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ .
Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and finding him, he said, 'Do you believe in the Son of God?'
9.36
ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲁϭⲟⲓⲥ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲁⲛⲁϩϯ ⲉⲣⲟϥ .
He answered, 'Who is he, Lord, that I may believe in him?'
9.37
ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲭⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫⲏ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲕ .
Jesus said to him, 'You have both seen him, and it is he who speaks with you.'
9.38
ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉϯⲛⲁϩϯ ⲡⲁϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
He said, 'Lord, I believe!' and he worshiped him.
9.39

Jesus said, 'I came into this world for judgment, that those who don't see may see; and that those who see may become blind.'

'Most certainly, I tell you, one who doesn't enter by the door into the sheep fold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
10.2
ⲫⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲑⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲣⲟ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲙⲁⲛⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲓⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ .
But one who enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

ⲫⲁⲓ ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲡⲓⲉⲙⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲁϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲛⲓⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲧⲉϥⲥⲙⲏ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁϥⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲛⲉϥⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲛⲟⲩⲣⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁϥⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ .
The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.
10.4
ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥϣⲁⲛⲓⲛⲓ ⲛⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϣⲁϥⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲁϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲛⲓⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲛⲥⲱϥ ϫⲉⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲥⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲧⲉϥⲥⲙⲏ .
Whenever he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
10.5
ⲡⲓϣⲉⲙⲙⲟ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲁⲩⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲩⲉⲫⲱⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉⲥⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲧⲥⲙⲏ ⲙⲡⲓϣⲉⲙⲙⲟ .
They will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him; for they don't know the voice of strangers.'
10.6
ⲧⲁⲓⲡⲁⲣⲟⲓⲙⲓⲁ ⲁϥϫⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉⲁϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩ .
Jesus spoke this parable to them, but they didn't understand what he was telling them.

ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲟⲛ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ϫⲉⲁⲙⲏⲛ ⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϫⲉⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲃⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲓⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ .
Jesus therefore said to them again, 'Most certainly, I tell you, I am the sheep's door.

All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep didn't listen to them.

I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out, and will find pasture.

ⲡⲓⲣⲉϥϭⲓⲟⲩⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲙⲡⲁϥⲓ ⲉⲃⲏⲗ ⲁⲣⲏⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉϥϭⲓⲟⲩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲧⲉϥϣⲱⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲧⲉϥⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲧⲁⲓⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲟⲩⲱⲛϧ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲧⲉⲟⲩϩⲟⲩⲟ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ .
The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
10.11
ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲙⲁⲛⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲡⲓⲙⲁⲛⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ϣⲁϥϯ ⲛⲧⲉϥⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⲉϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉϫⲉⲛⲛⲉϥⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ .
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

ⲡⲓⲣⲉⲙⲃⲉⲭⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲙⲁⲛⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲛⲓⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉⲁϥϣⲁⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡⲓⲟⲩⲱⲛϣ ⲉϥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ϣⲁϥⲫⲱⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁϥⲭⲁ ⲛⲓⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲱⲛϣ ϩⲟⲗⲙⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁϥϫⲟⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who doesn't own the sheep, sees the wolf coming, leaves the sheep, and flees. The wolf snatches the sheep, and scatters them.
10.13
ϫⲉⲟⲩⲣⲉⲙⲃⲉⲭⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲉⲣⲙⲉⲗⲓⲛ ⲛⲁϥ ⲁⲛ ϧⲁⲛⲓⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ .
The hired hand flees because he is a hired hand, and doesn't care for the sheep.
10.14
ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲙⲁⲛⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ϯⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲓ ⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ .
I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and I'm known by my own;
10.15
ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱ ϯⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲫⲓⲱⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁⲭⲱ ⲛⲧⲁⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⲉϫⲉⲛⲛⲁⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ .
even as the Father knows me, and I know the Father. I lay down my life for the sheep.
10.16
ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲧⲏⲓ ⲛϩⲁⲛⲕⲉⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲉϩⲁⲛⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲧⲁⲓⲁⲩⲗⲏ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉϩⲱϯ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⲉⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲕⲉⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲧⲁⲥⲙⲏ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲩⲟϩⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲟⲩⲙⲁⲛⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ .
I have other sheep, which are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will hear my voice. They will become one flock with one shepherd.
10.17
ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲫⲁⲓ ϥⲙⲉⲓ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ϫⲉⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯⲭⲱ ⲛⲧⲁⲯⲩⲭⲏ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲟⲛ ⲛⲧⲁϭⲓⲧⲥ .
Therefore the Father loves me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again.

ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ϩⲗⲓ ⲱⲗⲓ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲟⲧⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲧⲭⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛϧⲣⲏⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧ ⲟⲩⲟⲛϯ ⲉⲣϣⲓϣⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲭⲁⲥ ⲟⲩⲟⲛϯ ⲉⲣϣⲓϣⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲟⲛ ⲉϭⲓⲧⲥ ⲑⲁⲓ ⲧⲉ ϯⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲓϭⲓⲧⲥ ⲛⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ .
No one takes it away from me, but I lay it down by myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. I received this commandment from my Father.'
10.19
ⲟⲩⲥⲭⲓⲥⲙⲁ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲛⲁⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ .
Therefore a division arose again among the Jews because of these words.

ϩⲁⲛⲙⲏϣ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϥⲗⲟⲃⲓ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲣⲟϥ .
Many of them said, 'He has a demon, and is insane! Why do you listen to him?'

Others said, 'These are not the sayings of one possessed by a demon. It isn't possible for a demon to open the eyes of the blind, is it?'

ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛϫⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓⲕ ϧⲉⲛⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲁⲗⲏⲙ ⲛⲉⲧⲫⲣⲱ ⲧⲉ .
It was the Feast of the Dedication at Jerusalem.

It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in Solomon's porch.
10.24

The Jews therefore came around him and said to him, 'How long will you hold us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.'

Jesus answered them, 'I told you, and you don't believe. The works that I do in my Father's name, these testify about me.

ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁϩϯ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ .
But you don't believe, because you are not of my sheep, as I told you.
10.27
ⲛⲁⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϣⲁⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲧⲁⲥⲙⲏ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁⲩⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲛⲥⲱⲓ
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
10.28
ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱ ϯⲛⲁϯ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲛϧ ⲛⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲧⲁⲕⲟ ϣⲁⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲛⲉϣ ϩⲗⲓ ϩⲟⲗⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲧⲁϫⲓϫ .
I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲁ ⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ϩⲗⲓ ⲛⲁϣϩⲟⲗⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲧϫⲓϫ ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ .
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of my Father's hand.
10.30
ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ .
I and the Father are one.'
10.31
ⲁⲩⲉⲗ ⲱⲛⲓ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲥⲉϩⲓⲟⲩⲓ ⲉϫⲱϥ .
Therefore Jews took up stones again to stone him.

Jesus answered them, 'I have shown you many good works from my Father. For which of those works do you stone me?'

The Jews answered him, 'We don't stone you for a good work, but for blasphemy: because you, being a man, make yourself God.'

Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus from Bethany, of the village of Mary and her sister, Martha.
11.2
ⲛⲉ ⲑⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲥⲑⲁϩⲥ ⲙⲡϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲟϫⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥϥⲱϯ ⲛⲛⲉϥϭ ⲁⲗⲁⲩϫ ⲙⲡⲉⲥϥⲱⲓ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲛⲁⲣⲉⲡⲉⲥⲥⲟⲛ ⲗⲁⲍⲁⲣⲟⲥ ϣⲱⲛⲓ .
It was that Mary who had anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother, Lazarus, was sick.
11.3
ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱⲣⲡ ⲟⲩⲛ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲉϥⲥⲱⲛⲓ ⲛⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲡϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲓⲥ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲕⲙⲉⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϥϣⲱⲛⲓ .
The sisters therefore sent to him, saying, 'Lord, behold, he for whom you have great affection is sick.'
11.4
ⲉⲧⲁϥⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉⲧⲁⲓⲓⲁⲃⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲓⲁⲃⲓ ⲙⲫⲙⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲧⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲡⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉϥϭⲓⲱⲟⲩ ⲛϫⲉⲡϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲙⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲧⲥ .
But when Jesus heard it, he said, 'This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that God's Son may be glorified by it.'
11.5
ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϥⲙⲉⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲣⲑⲁ ⲛⲉⲙⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲧⲉⲥⲥⲱⲛⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲗⲁⲍⲁⲣⲟⲥ .
Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
11.6
ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ϫⲉϥϣⲱⲛⲓ ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲙⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⲉⲛⲁϥⲭⲏ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲃ .
When therefore he heard that he was sick, he stayed two days in the place where he was.
11.7
ⲙⲉⲛⲉⲛⲥⲁⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϫⲉⲙⲁⲣⲟⲛ ⲉϯⲓⲟⲩⲇⲉⲁ ⲟⲛ .
Then after this he said to the disciples, 'Let's go into Judea again.'
11.8
ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϫⲉⲣⲁⲃⲃⲓ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲩⲕⲱϯ ⲛⲥⲱⲕ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲉϩⲓⲱⲛⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲕ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲭⲛⲁϣⲉ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ .
The disciples told him, 'Rabbi, the Jews were just trying to stone you, and are you going there again?'
11.9
ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ϫⲉⲙⲏ ⲓⲃ ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲭⲏ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲑⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲁϥϭⲓϭⲣⲟⲡ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲫⲟⲩⲱⲓⲛⲓ ⲙⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ .
Jesus answered, 'Aren't there twelve hours of daylight? If a man walks in the day, he doesn't stumble, because he sees the light of this world.
11.10
ⲫⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲑⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲉϫⲱⲣϩ ϣⲁϥϭⲓϭⲣⲟⲡ ϫⲉⲡⲓⲟⲩⲱⲓⲛⲓ ⲛϧⲏⲧϥ ⲁⲛ .
But if a man walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light isn't in him.'
11.11
ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲙⲉⲛⲉⲛⲥⲁⲛⲁⲓ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲗⲁⲍⲁⲣⲟⲥ ⲡⲉⲛϣⲫⲏⲣ ⲁϥⲛⲕⲟⲧ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲓⲉϣⲉ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲛⲧⲁⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟⲥϥ .
He said these things, and after that, he said to them, 'Our friend, Lazarus, has fallen asleep, but I am going so that I may awake him out of sleep.'
11.12
ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲡϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲁϥⲛⲕⲟⲧ ⲉϥⲉⲧⲱⲛϥ .
The disciples therefore said, 'Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover.'
11.13
ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲟⲥ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲡⲓⲉⲛⲕⲟⲧ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲉϥⲙⲟⲩ ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲩⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉⲁϥϫⲟⲥ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲡⲓⲛⲕⲟⲧ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲓϩⲓⲛⲓⲙ .
Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that he spoke of taking rest in sleep.
11.14
ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲣⲏⲥⲓⲁ ϫⲉⲗⲁⲍⲁⲣⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩ
So Jesus said to them plainly then, 'Lazarus is dead.
11.15
ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲣⲁϣⲓ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁϩϯ ϫⲉⲛⲁⲓⲭⲏ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲛ ϣⲁⲣⲟϥ .
I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, so that you may believe. Nevertheless, let's go to him.'
11.16
ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲑⲱⲙⲁⲥ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉⲇⲓⲇⲩⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲛⲉϥϣⲫⲏⲣ ⲙⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϫⲉⲙⲁⲣⲟⲛ ϩⲱⲛ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲙⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ
Thomas therefore, who is called Didymus, said to his fellow disciples, 'Let's go also, that we may die with him.'
11.17
ⲉⲧⲁϥⲓ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲁϥϫⲉⲙϥ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲇ ⲡⲉ ⲉϥⲭⲏ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲙϩⲁⲩ .
So when Jesus came, he found that he had been in the tomb four days already.
11.18
ⲃⲏⲑⲁⲛⲓⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲥϧⲉⲛⲧ ⲉⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲁⲗⲏⲙ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲓⲉ ⲛⲥⲧⲁⲇⲓⲟⲛ .
Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about fifteen stadia away.
11.19
ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲛⲉⲁⲩⲓ ⲡⲉ ϩⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲛⲉⲙⲙⲁⲣⲑⲁ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲡⲟⲩⲥⲟⲛ .
Many of the Jews had joined the women around Martha and Mary, to console them concerning their brother.
11.20
ⲉⲧⲁⲥⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϫⲉⲙⲁⲣⲑⲁ ϫⲉϥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲛϫⲉⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲁⲥⲧⲱⲛⲥ ⲁⲥⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉϩⲣⲁϥ ⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲥϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲏⲓ .
Then when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary stayed in the house.
11.21
ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲑⲁ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ϫⲉⲡⲁϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲉⲛⲁⲕⲭⲏ ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲙⲁ ⲛⲁⲣⲉⲡⲁⲥⲟⲛ ⲛⲁⲙⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ .
Therefore Martha said to Jesus, 'Lord, if you would have been here, my brother wouldn't have died.
